On Your Wedding Day and My New Die Storage

Good afternoon my lovely crafty friends.

It's a lovely bright sunny day here in Gloucestershire but brrrrrr it's so cold - great weather for a brisk walk along the canal path and a lovely hot cup of coffee at the end :o)

Today I thought I would pop by to share a Wedding Card I recently made for my MiL to give to her friend's daughter that is getting married later this year.
Here's what I used:
Image: LOTV Die Cut panel
Design Paper: LOTV 'Heartfelt'
Tonic Studios 'Trellis Square' die set
Martha Stewart Scalloped Heart Border punch
Pleated satin ribbon
Adhesive Pearl Swirl from The Hobby House
Pearl String from The Hobby House
Flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts
Memory Box Fabulous Phlox Die (Foliage)

So in my last post I said I would be back to share my fabulous new die storage system - I sooooooo love it - does that make me slightly mad????

Anyway here is it:

and here's all my dies now fabulously organised

As you can see each magnetic sheet holds so many dies and the storage system display stand that you can also buy makes it easy to flick through the system to find the die you're looking for.

I used to store all my dies in folders with plastic wallets and magnetic sheets but found that the weight often ripped the plastic wallets or in some cases the magnetic sheets were double sided and even though they were in a plastic wallet they still stuck together. I have however still used one of the folders to store all my Memory Box dies:

So once I sorted out my dies I thought I better sort out my stamps so they are now all either in ring binders

Using Martha Stewart 4 section or 2 section plastic wallets

or the 'Stufftainers' stamp storage from Sir Stampalot

Sorry for the photo overload but hopefully you may find my storage solutions useful.

Challenges I would like to enter my card in:

My Time to Craft - Love is all Around
Brown Sugar - Anything Goes
Polkadoodles - Love and Romance
Wags n Whiskers - With Love
Crafting for all Seasons - Ribbons and Pearls
Inspiration Destination - Anything Goes

Thanks for popping by today.
Have a fabulous day.

A Ruby Wedding Anniversary and Some Magazine Projects Sneaky Peeks

Good morning my lovely crafty friends.

How's your week going? Good I hope.
Happy to report that I am feeling a bit better and that my nasty abscess has almost cleared up with the super strength antibiotics the Dr prescribed - thank goodness as I was told it may have needed to be surgically removed - ouch!!!!

I have been having a sort out in my little crafty haven - I think I have finally found the perfect die storage solution - well for me anyway. I'll take some photos today and share them with you later.

But first I would like to share another recent make using a scrummy new heart die I treated myself to from the Crafter's Companion January sale - I thought it would be perfect for this Ruby Wedding Anniversary card requested by my MiL.
I also used the gorgeous 'Heartfelt' Design Papers from LOTV - sadly now discontinued but for every negative there is always a positive and you can get these papers as a digital download from Raspberry Road  available here so you can have as many of them whenever you want :o)

Oh and before I go a shoutout for the new issue of Papercraft Inspirations that's in the shops today - I'm thrilled to be sharing three lots of projects this time and here's some sneaky peeks

3 Looks with Washi Tape

Birthday Candles Cards for the All Occasions section

And a Moving Cards Masterclass

I do still have to pinch myself when I see my makes in print.
I know I am so very lucky to have this opportunity and I am very grateful each time a commission comes through - thank you Papercraft Inspirations.

And THANK YOU for all the lovely comments and support.
Have a fabulous day.

I'll be back later with photos of my new die storage system.

Anchors Away!!!

Good evening my lovely crafty friends.
Hope you had a better weekend than I did!!!

Unfortunately I didn't get to see Strictly on Tour on Saturday as I came down with a nasty bug - sore throat, headache, upset tummy and feeling totally drained and if that wasn't enough I also managed to get an abscess somewhere too delicate to mention but suffice to say that sitting isn't the most comfortable thing to do :o(

So you can imagine how sorry for myself I'm must be feeling :o(

Anyway I thought the best thing to do would be to have a little playtime in my little crafty haven - I do tend to craft standing up most of the time!!

So here's one of the cards I put together using one of the Hunkydory Little Books - this one is from the Little Book of Birthdays
I also used some Craftwork Cards 'Harbour Boulevard' Design Paper
Tim Holtz Sizzix 'Wordplay'

Right I'm off to have a little bloggy catch-up whilst watching the soaps.
Thanks for popping by.

A New Year Engagement

Good morning my lovely crafty friends.
How's your weekend going so far?

I had some surprise visitors for lunch yesterday - my squidgilicious Grandson Oliver and his Mum and Dad - we don't usually have a lunch date but it was so lovely to see them unexpectedly.

The other lovely thing we have done this weekend is book our holiday for the summer - it's great to have something to look forward to isn't it? This year Jack has decided he only wants to come out for  a week with us - so the first week of our holiday my DH and I will be rattling around like two peas in a pod in a 4 bed villa but the second week we will have a house full as Jack will be travelling out with Jamie, Rowena and my two beautiful Granddaughters - I'm so excited already lol!!!!!

Anyway I thought I would pop by to share a card I made for a friend that wanted an engagement card for friends that got engaged on New Year's Day. The brief was was something CAS and if possible with a London skyline as they got engaged in London.

Here's what I came up with:
I found a London Skyline silhouette on the internet and cut it out using my Scan n Cut and then used this and the base layer for the card.

I added an embossed panel that I inked and then the adorable LOTV 'Close Your Eyes' image mat and layered using MFT Stitched Rectangles.
 Image coloured with Copics.

Challenges I would like to enter:

2 Creative Chicks - Anything Goes
Crafty Friends - Anything Goes
Stempelsonnen - Anything Goes
Through the Purple Haze - Anything Goes

Thanks for popping by today.
Have a fabulous day.

Anything Goes at In the Pink

Good morning my lovely crafty friends.
Hope you are having a good week so far.

Mine has been a week of sorting out problems and replacing broken things - it started with the DVD player which wasn't as simple as it seems to replace as that was part of a surround sound cinema system that is no longer in stock so we had to buy a new DVD player and separate sound system - then the fence came down at the side of the house on Sunday and on Monday the microwave gave up the ghost!!!

However, one piece of good news is I managed to get hold of Pie Face for Oliver - he was so disappointed at Christmas when Santa had run out and we had so much fun playing with it at the weekend

Although Oliver didn't want to get 'pied' himself he loved watching everyone else get splatted lol!!!

Anyway the real reason I'm here is to share my DT make for the new challenge over at

and this fortnight we have made it nice and simples to ease you in to the New Year with the theme of

as long as it's PINK

My card is for a special person who is going through a bit of a tough time at the moment and I thought this sentiment would be just perfect:
Card Ingredients:
Sentiment: From The Dreamees 'Designer Collection'
Butterfly Dies: Spellbinders Sapphire 'Birds and Butterflies'
Crafter's Companion 'Vintage Rose' Embossing Folder
Victorian Velvet Distress Ink

Our sponsor this week is the wonderful
offering 1 lucky winner a bundle very similar to this gorgeous lot

Thanks for calling by.
Have a fabulous day.

Happy New Year

Good morning my lovely crafty friends and a

Here's hoping 2016 is a Happy Healthy New Year for you all.

I thought would pop by to share a few photos from the Festive Period with you and a New Year card I made for a friend of my MiL.

So here's the New Year Card
Before we went away we paid a visit to Santa and his Winter Wonderland at the local garden centre.

We spent Christmas in Centre Parcs in the Lake District - which was lovely but I did miss my boys and the Grandchildren and couldn't wait to get back and celebrate a 'second Christmas Day' with them all on Monday.

This is how rammed the car was as we set off!!!

We had to make sure Santa knew where to stop on Christmas Eve lol!!!

And luckily he did as this was my main present

I am such a lucky girl!!!

Christmas dinner was scummy

Then home to see Santa had arrived there as well

And then the house was full of all the people I love the most

Thank you to all my loyal crafty blogging buddies for all your continued support and friendship.
I hope our friendship continues to grow and strengthen throughout 2016.

Thanks for popping by.
Have a fabulous day.
