Girl and Snowman Easel Card for The Stamp Basket

Good morning my lovely crafty friends.
Hope your weekend has got off to a good start.
I had a lovely day with Ruby Mae yesterday - she is soooooo cute - but I am biased :o)

Today I'm here with my usual Sunday morning inspiration using some scrummy stash from

and this week I have made an easel card - love these cards and I haven't made one for a while :o)

I have used one of the new Wild Rose Studio Christmas release stamps 'Girl and Snowman' and some new Wild Rose Studio Christmas Design Papers 'Frosted Lace'

Card Ingredients:
Colouring Medium: 'Copics'
Design Paper: WRS 'Frosted Lace'
Die Cuts: Joy Crafts 'Winter Wishes - Ice Crystals'

I added some Viva Decor Ice White pearl pen on the 'fur trim' to give it some texture and then added some Crystal Glamour Dust over the top before it dried to give it some fabulous sparkle.
The sparkle on the snowman is from a Wink of Stella clear pen.

Have a fabulous crafty day.

Still got to get Jack's school uniform sorted - but need to get him out of bed first - typical teenage boy - leaves everything until last minute!!!

Anyway I'm here with another DT share today and this time it's for

I made another 80th birthday card using a gorgeous pre-coloured LOTV Art Pad image.

The card stock I have used for the die cuts and mat and layering is actually a dark green but looks black in these photos!!!

One Embossing Folder Three Ways

Good morning my lovely crafty friends.
Hope you're having a wonderful week so far.
I had a lovely day with my snuggalicious Granddaughter Ruby Mae yesterday whilst her Mummy was in Cheltenham Wedding Dress hunting - think it was a more successful trip this time - two hopefuls :o)

So today I'm here with a non-DT card - well 3 actually and as the post title says - they have all been made with the same embossing folder but using it different ways.

For the first one I simply embossed some white card and then highlighted the embossed area with Star Dust Stickles.

For the second one I inked the embossing folder using Weathered Wood Distress Ink before embossing some white card.

And for the third card I embossed then inked the embossed area with Weathered Wood Distress Ink.

I can't make up my mind which I prefer - what do you think?

Card ingredients:
Embossing Folders: Couture Creations 'Christmas Lyrics' and Em-Bossalicious 'Christmas Elegance'
Weathered Wood Distress Ink
Star Dust Stickles
Silver Mirri Board
Martha Stewart Snowflake punches
Adhesive Pearls
White Satin Ribbon & Silver Tinsel

Busy day ahead - got to get the holiday washing and ironing done ready for packing tomorrow as I will be out most of Saturday - meeting up with my beautiful blogging buddy Claire at the GBCF and then we fly off on Sunday - I can hardly wait :o)

Thanks for popping in to see me today and for all your lovely comments left recently.
Have a fabulous day.

Anything Goes with an Option of Torn Paper at Papertake Weekly

Good afternoon my lovely crafty friends.
Apologies for my late DT post - I thought I had scheduled it but when I checked not only had I not scheduled it - I hadn't even written it - oopsss!!!

So better late than never I'm here to share my DT make for the new challenge over at

As it's the first Tuesday of the month that means we have our usual theme of

with the optional theme of

I was recently very lucky to have won a prize over on the LOTV Facebook Page and I chose the fabulous Christmas Icons clear stamp set and here's what I have done with them for this week's challenge:

I started by randomly stamping the various snowflakes onto white card using Perfect Medium and then heat embossed with True White EP
Then I blended Broken China Distress Ink all over and wiped over the snowflakes with a soft towel to 'polish' them :o)
I decided to play with the optional theme of  'Torn Paper' and tore a piece of white card to create a snowy hill - which I then embossed with Sizzix 658285 Dots embossing folder.
Tree image also stamped using Perfect Medium and heat embossed with True White EP then 'fussy cut' and stuck using foam pads - a few tiny pearls added
Sentiment from the Christmas Icons set too - same heat embossed with True White and Broken China Distress Ink blended all over.
A touch of Glamour Dust added around the edges to finish it all off.

Our wonderful sponsor this week is
offering 1 lucky winner

Please pop over to the main challenge blog to check out the awesome inspiration from my lovely DT buddies and our super talented GDT buddies.

Challenge #144 at Sketch n Stash

Good morning my lovely crafty friends.
Hope you had a wonderful weekend.
Mine was fairly quiet really - in comparison to recent weekends!!!
Yesterday we had a trip down to The Mall at Cribbs Causeway for some last minute holiday shopping and to meet Jamie, Rowena and Ruby Mae for lunch - then popped back to theirs for a cuppa before heading home and what seems to becoming a regular feature on Sunday afternoon - a snooze on the sofa :o)

So it's the start of a new week and today I would like to share my DT make for the new challenge over at

and this fortnight we have a gorgeous new sketch to work play with:

Here's what I came up with:

It will be my 17th Wedding Anniversary on the 17th of this month and this card will be safely packed in my suitcase to give to my DH whilst we are away on our jolly holibobs.
There is a story behind the choices I made for this card - it starts with the image - many moons ago when John was the Branch Manager of the Building Society where I worked as a Branch Assistant he used to read the newspaper to me in the staff room at lunchtime - I think he did it so he could spend some time sitting next to me - and I didn't mind as it meant I could spend some time sitting next to him too :o)
So when LOTV released this stamp - ages ago now - but this is the first time I have inked it up - I just had to have it :o)
Then of course the Design Paper was the perfect match for the image and to tie in with the story behind it - they are some of my new stash from Anna Marie Designs - 'Shabby Vintage'

Other items used:
Colouring Medium: Copics
Spellbinders: Timeless Rectangles
Martha Stewart: Heart Border Punch
Sentiment Tags: LOTV 'Set 69'
Fired Brick Distress Ink
Tumbled Glass Distress Ink
Ribbon from stash
