Gilded Flutterbys

Good morning. Hope the weather is better where you are than it is here - I think we've had more rain this week than we had all last year - and it is still coming down :o(
Looking on the bright side I guess that means more time to spend tucked away warm and dry in my little crafty haven as it is wayyyyyy to wet and cold to go outdoors :o)

So I've been having another little play with embossing powders and 'stuff' and this time I heat embossed this gorgeous Kanban flutterby script image with Stamp 'n' Bond and then added Gilding Flakes - oh this effect is sooooo scrummy don't you think?
I also swiped the edges of the image panel with Versamark and then heat embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Gold Shine EP

The background panel was made using M-Bossabilities folder 'Enchanted' for the top 2/3 and the bottom 1/3 I scored at 1cm intervals using Martha Stewart scoreboard - I also heat embossed the edges with the gold EP as before.
Some simple mat and layering with cream card and gold mirri card, a bit of vintage lace and a few co-ordinating roses from Wild Orchid Crafts - the glitter leaves are the petals from a Marianne Creatable Poinsettia die to finish it off.
Sentiment heat embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Gold Shine EP

I'm starting to get excited now as there are only 2 more days until my birthday - is it wrong to be looking forward to birthdays at my age???!!!

Thanks for your visit today. I hope you like what you see. It would be great to let me know you've been so I can come and visit you too :o)

Good morning. Hope you are all keeping well and those not I wish well soon. It's Saturday so that means it's time for another new challenge at

and this week the lovely Nicola has picked the theme

Now I have to confess that this is my first attempt at a shaker card and I immediately thought of a Christmas card and I'm quite pleased with how it turned out :o)

Image coloured with FM's & PM's and Glamour Dust added to hat.

Design Papers from stash - I think the snowflake one is Hunkydory but not sure and the text one could be Pink Petticoat.
I made my shaker aperture using Spellbinders regular squares and added Cosmic Shimmer Glitter Jewels and some Irridescent glitter as my shaker bits.

This also used:
Memory Box Elegant Scroll
Spellbinders Banner Labels & Scalloped Edgabilities
Adhesive Crystal Gems

Challenges I would like to enter:
Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes
Sisterhood of Crafters - Shaker Card
Digital Tuesday - Winter Blues
Pile it On - Sparkle & Shine

We are going to another 1st Birthday Party this afternoon for my nephew's son Ethan - luckily it's indoors as the weather has been awful all week and today's forecast is no better. I will post some photos later in the week.
Have a great day whatever you are doing.

Don't forget there is still time to enter my birthday candy - details on sidebar - winner will be drawn on my birthday 1st May and announced with my Oldie But Goodie DT post :o)

Hello again (again) lol!!! This is my 3rd post for today - but this time it's a card I have made for fun - and not a DT card :o)
I've been having another play with some embossing powders and Glitter Jewels (see previous post here) and I tried to use the colours of the EP to 'colour' the Penny Black image this time.

This picture shows the effect quite well :o)

I also played with one of my new Spellbinders M-Bossabilities folders 'Whimsy' and inked over the embossed area with Spun Sugar and Old Paper Distress Inks.
This also used:
Doo Hickey Swirl
Retro Flower Punch - Small and Medium
Adhesive Gems from stash

I'm looking forward to Aaron and Oliver coming over for tea tonight and was hoping to get to a walk out with the pushchair but it doesn't look likely :o(
Enjoy the rest of the day.
Thanks for popping by (again).

In the Garden at MAWTT

Hello again - this is my second post for today - please see my DT post for Charisma here.

This time I'm back to share my DT project for

and this week the lovely Mau has picked the theme

Our sponsor this week is

and they are offering 1 lucky winner $10 to spend in the online store

The DT were lucky enough to have some images to play with and I chose
and here's what I did with it:

I printed the image onto parchment 3 times and then coloured on the reverse side using PM's
I then cut out various layers to decoupage onto the base layer that I mat and layered onto co-ordinating cardstock.

I was lucky enough to win my blogging buddy Claire's candy recently and it included these scrummy sheets of DP's - which just happened to perfectly match this flower and these colours :o)

A few teeny weeny flutterbys and some punched daisies to embellish together with a Spellbinders die cut flower to finish it off.

Please pop over to the main challenge blog to check out the awesome inspiration from the rest of my gorgeous DT buddies - you won't be disappointed :o)
It would also be lovely if you could pop over to their individual blogs to leave some love - I know they would really appreciate it :o)

I Love Promarkers - Floral Image

My share (for now) is for the fab Diamonds & Pearls challenge at Lil's :Little Fairies this week.
I have more LOTV stamps than any other brand and yet I still miss their challenges sometimes - so I was determined not to miss it this week :o)

The srummy DP's are Prima 'Nature Garden' from My Crafty Heart

The edges of the image have been inked with Old Paper Distress Ink.

Felt flower die cut using Spellbinders floral die and an American Crafts pearl brad added to the centre.
