Paper-Piecing at Allsorts

Good morning. Whooo hoo it's the weekend and as I have been busy tidying and cleaning all week I will have lots of time to play in my little crafty haven - yipppeeee!!! Well in between doing the washing, ironing, cooking and entertaining my scrummy Grandson Oliver who will be popping over later today :o)
Anyways it's Saturday and that means it's time for a new challenge at

And this week it's our lovely Brenda that has picked the theme:

Our sponsor this week is

and they are offering 1 lucky winner
'A Make Your Own Card Kit'

I decided to take the opportunity to make a CAS style thank you card - with the focus on the paper-piecing.
I picked this Gorjuss image - love these girls - as there are a number of elements that could be paper-pieced. I masked the litle foxes that come with this stamp before stamping as I just wanted the image of the girl.

The ones I paper-pieced here are her coat, the pocket on the coat, her hat, the flower on her hat and even the teeny weeny lace and top under the coat - now that was fiddly lol!!!
The rest of the image was coloured with PM's

I simply matt and layered onto Spellbinders Labels 1 with co-ordinating cardstock - I used that largest of the standard size dies in the set and handcut the smaller matt  - using the faux nestie technique and then inked the edges.

This also used:
Design Paper - Paper Cellar - a birthday gift from a very good friend.
Flowers from stash - I just changed the original centre stones to adhesive pearls
Sentiment - Craftwork Cards

Please pop over to the main challenge blog to see the gorgeous inspiration from the rest of the DT - you won't be disappointed :o)

Challenges I would like to enter:
Art Impressions Stamps - Anything Goes
C.R.A.F.T - Thank You
Pixie Dust Studio - Monochromatic
Sarah Hurley - Giving Thanks/Thank You
Inky Impressions - Anything Goes

Passion for Promarkers - Thank You Cards
Stamp N Doodle - Anything Goes

Hope you all have a fabulous crafty weekend.
Thanks for popping by.

Your little image looks so delicate in thnose soft colours.

Enjoy your time with Oliver this weekend and indulge, it's all quite normal I always tell muself.

We are off shoppiing for Azaria's (grandaughter) prom dress, how scary is that when one of our boys has not long had his. We are apparently thing fuschia pink and lots of netting, looks good on the tinernet but I am worried why they don't give a price !
