No Girls Allowed at MAWTT

Good morning. Hopefully this is the second post for me today by Mr. Blogger scheduled posts as I am currently soaking up lots of scrummy sunshine and snuggles with my Grandaughter Lola on holiday in Portugal :-)

This time I would like to share my DT card for

as picked by my lovely teamie Shell

The DT were lucky enough to have some Design Papers to work with from our sponsor this week:

Here's what I did with some of them:
DoobleBoys - Splat Grunge Paper - in the background
DoobleBoys - Blue Striped Paper - across the bottome (the one with aersol cans ) - it's fab and perfect for a male card.

Image - Kenny K coloured with PM's and then distressed with Old Paper DI
 Sentiment PC generated.

Will be back on Sunday and I will add challenges then :-)

Have a fab day.
Thanks for popping by.

It's a little bit Spooky at Allsorts

Good morning.  Just a quick share from me today as I have a busy day ahead with last minute shopping and packing for our jolly hols tomorrow - well only just tomorrow as the flight is 6:30am so it will be a 3:30 alarm call :-)

This week over at

the uber talented Fleur has picked a very topical theme

Here's what I did:

I have been wanting to have a go at one of these centre stepper cards for a while and I'm quite pleased with the result :-)
Now I know I have made a 'spooky' birthday card and that's because it's for Jack's friend's birthday which is on Halloween!

 Here's what I used:

Image - LOTV Abracadabra coloured with PM's
I cut the 'grass' and the Spiders using the Cricut Expression and From The Nest cartridge
Sentiment -PC generated using Halloween Spider font
Fab black webbing from local craft shop
Edges have all been 'distressed' using Brilliance Silver ink pad.

Challenges I would like to enter:

Paper Play - Use Black
Divas by Design - Something Spooky
Inky Impressions - Halloween
Stampavie and More - Halloween
Creative Card Crew - Spooky Fun

Autumn has arrived at Get Funky

Good morning. Today it's my turn to share with you my Funky Fifteenth inspiration for

Get Funky
where this month the lovely Amanda has picked the theme

As always the fabulous Anice has generously provided a Funky Freebie for those that may not have any Funky Hand products to work with
(remember that you must use at least 1 Funky Hand product to qualify for the prize on offer)
and I decided that it was just perfect for my card :

So used it as the background to my image topper - which I printed from the Dreams Come True Papercraft Factory CD and coloured with PM's
I inked the edges with Distress Ink.
The DP across the centre panel is also from FDream Come True - from the aptly named Autumn Style collection.
To finish I added a couple of Spellbinder die cut leaves with a button and some twine from stash.

We are all looking forward to seeing your beautiful Autumnal projects - hope you can join us.

Thanks for popping by.
Have a  fabulous day.

Here's a close up of the image:

I also used some vintage lace and my new Marianne Createables flower die with a scrummy button from stash

Emboss it at Charisma

Good morning. Hope you are all keeping well and those not I wish you well soon. We are all getting a bit excited in the Simpson household as not long until we go to Portugal with Katy and Lola - a whole week of scrummy snuggles :-)

This is the first of two posts for today and this time it's to share my DT card for

where this week the lovely Team Gem boss lady herself has picked the theme

(can be dry embossing or heat embossing or both - you decide)

So here's what I did:
I created two embossed panels - a positive and a negative by inking the Cuttlebug Moroccan embossing folder with Dusty Concorde Distress Ink - once on the debossed side and then again on the embossed side - to get the positive and negative effect.
Then I simply matt and layered these panels onto co-ordinating cardstock and added a border acroos the centre - edges die cut with one of my new Spellbinder Edgeabilities :-) and some sheer ribbon and bow.

Image: Crafters Companion - S.W.A.L.K - coloured with PM's
I die cut a frame using Spellbinders Labels 20
A couple of flowers from stash with a spacer and pearl brad added to the centre and a couple of scrummy crystal pins from The Pretty Little Ribbon Shop
Sentiment - stamped and heat embossed and then matt and layered onto a couple of Spellbinder Floral Accent die cuts.
Here's a close up of the image:
