So Nice I Made it Twice!

Good evening. What a glorious day it has been today - wall to wall sunshine all day and warm with it too :-)
and I have been busy making cards for my MiL's coffee morning on Friday - I did make a load and delivered them last month but they have all been sold already before the event so I needed to get busy making more :-)

I really enjoyed the way this card turned out -

so I made another the same but changed the colour - not sure which I prefer - what do you think?

For the first one I stamped the PB image 'Letters and Flowers' with Vintage Photo distress ink and distressed the edges with the same ink. I also used some Bo Bunny DP and some co-ordinating seam binding. A Craftwork cards sentiment and a few matching adhesive gems to finish.
For the second one I stamped the same PB image with Spiced Marmalade distress ink and inked the edges as before.  The DP is also Bo Bunny. This time I used some gorgeous grosgrain ribbon and adhesive pearls.

So which do you prefer?

Challenges I would like to enter:
Penny Black Saturday - Monochromatic
Celebrate the Occasion - Any Occasion - Must Use Ribbon
Stamps and Fun = Creativity - Anything Goes

Before I go I would like to share a photo of Pickle-Lily Cat and her new favourite place:

This was a birthday present from Aaron to Jack - he made it from a cardboard box - they are both obssessed with Lego and the new Alien Conquest range - I guess there are worse things to be obsessed with lol!!!

Have a fabulous eveing.

What an Adorable Trio

Good morning. When I saw the theme for this week's LOTV challenge I just knew I had to enter and I knew just what Design Paper I wanted to use - it was a freebie from a craft magazine at least 2 if not 3 years ago - there were about 4 sheets and this is almost my last little piece :-(

I also wanted to use one of my new LOTV Christmas images - I was very lucky to have won a challenge at  Hanna & Friends recently and won a LOTV £10 gift voucher - thank you ladies :-)

I decided to watercolour the image using Distress Inks for a softer feel and I am quite pleased with the result.

I used a Creative Expressions Mica Mask - Delicate and embossed some textured cardstock for my base layer. Snowflakes die cut from co-ordinating glitter card - using my favourite cuttlebug snowflake die and layered with a Martha Stewart snowflake punched from some Rainbow Shimmer card.
Sentiment - LOTV topped with a mini punched snowflake.
A few adhesive pearls and gems to finish it off.

I love how this card has turned out - and I don't very often say that about my own cards :-)

Challenges I would like to enter:
LOTV - Aqua, White and Glitter
Hanna and Friends - Anything Goes
Little Miss Muffet - Things with Wings
Samuel Taylors - Christmas Card using rubber stamp
Flutterby Wednesday - Anything Goes (to include butterfly, fairy or angel)
Paper Shelter - Anything Goes
Simon Says Stamp - Dies/Punches
Bunny Zoe's Crafts - Sketch
Stampin for the Weekend - What  A Cutie

Thanks for popping by.
Have a fabulous day.

Clean & Simple at Allsorts

Good morning. Well can you believe that it's Saturday again already - where did that week go???  more to the point where has this month disappeared too??? It will be Christmas before we know it :-)

So as it is Saturday that means it's time for a new challenge over at
and this week my lovely teamie Amanda (aka Scotspanda) wants us to keep it

So here's my take on it:

I started with a cream pearl DL base card and scored the bottom half at 1cm intervals - using my  Scorpal.
I added some thin shimmery ribbon across the top of the score lines and then made two teeny tags for the sentiment which I attached with a teeny bow.

The snowflake was created using a stencil and embossing paste and then a liberal sprinkling of some scrummy Cosmic Shimmer Sparkly Glitter whilst the paste was still wet. I mat and layered this onto some red mirri card and then added it to the centre top of the base card.

 Here's a close-up of the scrummy snowflake:
 And here's the sentiment tags:

We have a fab prize up for grabs from our sponsor

this week - please pop over to the challenge blog for full details and to see the gorgeous inspiration from my very talented DT buddies.

Challenges I would like to enter:
Freshly Brewed - Keep it Simple
Truly Scrumptious - Clean and Simple
Sentimental Sundays - Monochromatic

Have a fabulous weekend.

Time to cook at MAWTT

Good morning. This is my second post for today - please scroll down to see my DT post for

This week it was my turn to choose the theme at

and I decided on a recipe:
3 Design Papers
2 Types of Embellishments
1 Image

Here's what I cooked up:

Our sponsor this week is the very talented Beth - our very own Lisa's daughter.
I was lucky enough to be able to choose an image to work with and I picked this fab flower from the
I printed it twice - once onto cardstock and then onto some fab Funky Hand Rainbow Polkadots DP.
I layered the spotty one onto the card and added 1 of my embellisments - Bedazzles - they are sooooooo sparkly IRL.

I also added some Bedazzles to the DP - from Funky Hand Salt & Pepper download
My third DP is from the Love Love Love download from Funky Hand

Here's a close up of the image:

My second embellishment is the scrummy organza ribbon and bow.

Thanks for popping by (again).
Have  a wonderful day.
