Good morning - hope you are all well and those that aren't I wish you well soon.
Thought I would get an early start today before it gets too hot to be in my little crafty haven :-)
I took inpsiration for my card today from the Penny Black Saturday challenge this week
CREATE YOUR OWN PENNY BLACK - GROUND
So here's what I did:
I started by lightly rubbing Spun Sugar Distress Ink pad direct onto the cardstock and then added a touch of Bundled Sage. Then I randomly overstamped PB Script stamp with Old Paper and also overstamped two flower images (from the Clear Sentiments set 30-025) using Victorian Velvet and Bundled Sage. Finally I spritzed with Pearl Glimmer Mist.
So that was how I made my Penny Black-ground and here's what else I used:
Image - Penny Black Love Blush 3815J coloured with Distress Inks - really tried to get a soft watercoloured look to this and I feel quite pleased with how it turned out.
Here's a close up of the image:
I also created the background on the centre border - using various leaf stamps and a number of green Distress Inks
A few adhesive pearls, some flowers from stash and a stamped sentiment heat embossed with Artic Pearl EP to finish it off.
