Good afternoon. Back again with my second post for today and this time I would like to share a card I have made for a friend that wanted a birthday card for a 90 year old lady - a very special birthday indeed!
I took inspiration from this week's sketch challenge at Stamp Scrap and Doodle and the theme at Penny Black Saturday - One for the Girlies.
I started by die cutting my shape and inking with Wild Honey & Tumbled Glass Distress Ink before stamping the gorgeous PB Gossamer image - I usually stamp then cut but I liked the change!
I also stamped the image twice more - onto patterned paper and co-ordinating textured card - both from DCVW Linen Closet - gorgeous - so that I could paper piece the image.
Here's a close up of the paper-pieced flowers:
A few sparkly gems, a couple of Martha Stewart flutterbys and a PC generated sentiment finish it off.
Challenges I would like to enter are:
Stamp Scrap & Doodle - Sketch
Penny Black Saturday - One for the Girlies
A Spoonful of Sugar - Flower Power
Creative Craft Challenge - Restful Colours
Divas by Design - Florals
Thanks for popping by again.
Enjoy the rest of the day.
