Pick a Square for Less is More

Hi again (this is my second post for today -  please scroll down to see my previous post - my DT card for Oldie But Goodie) this time I would like to share my card for this week's Less is More challenge
Recipe - Pick a Square
I picked the bottom left square:

then stamped and heat embossed an Inkadinkado swirl in the corner and added some handmade flowers with adhesive gems oin the centre. A tiny Martha Stewart flutterby and a sentiment from Whimsey Stamps to finish it off.
I love the simplicity of it and hope you like it to.

Thanks for taking a look.
Enjoy the rest of the day.

Lotsa Layers for An Oldie But Goodie

Good morning. It looks like it could be a better day weather wise here in Gloucestershire today - the sun has got his hat on and is coming out to play!!!
Today we have a new challenge at An Oldie But a Goodie for you and this time it was my turn to choose the theme. I would like to see:

Here's my DT inspiration for you:

I have used a very neglected LOTV fairy image - I really don't know why as it is gorgeous to work with.
I coloured her with PM's and then stamped again onto Fantasy Film with Angelina Fibres encased and cut out the wings to layer ontop.
Here's a close up of the wings:

This also used:
DP's - Pink Petticoat Vintage Rose freebie form Craft Magazine
Ribbon  & Spotty from Ribbon Girl
Flowers - Wild Orchid Crafts
Sentiment - Craftwork Cards
Spellbinders -  Lacey Squares, Square nestie and Labels 1

This is the prize that I have donated for the lucky winner picked at random.
Just a few rules tro remember in order to qualify for the prize:

1. You must use a rubber/clear stamp that is at least 6 months old
2. No Digi images allowed
That's it - simples!

Challenges I would like to enter are:
LOTV - I Believe in Fairies
Make it Monday - Anything Goes
Stamp With Fun - In the Garden (well there are Fairies in everyone's garden isn't there?)
Emerald Fairies - Anything Goes
Creations by Gill - Green & Pink with Flowers
Crafty Catz - Pink & Green
Crafting for all Seasons - Anything Goes
Divas by Design - For the Girls

Have a fab day.
Thanks for popping over.

Allsorts - Things with Wings

Good morning. Blimey you go away for a couple of days and Mr Blogger gets annoyed and wouldn't let me sign in - what a nightmare!!!! But patience is the virtue and here I am to share my project for the new challenge theme at Allsorts this week
I decided I wanted to make something other than a card and took inspiration from this that I saw when I visited Katy a couple of weeks ago:

and here is my version:

Close up of butterflies - top one:

Bottom One:

Butterflies made from Grunge Paper - painted with Acrylic paint first then stamped. embossed and glittered
I cut out two larger ones and then two smaller ones and glued then back to back sandwiching the ribbon inside first.
I now have this hanging on the back of my craft room door - adorned with both my gorgeous new Grandchildren.
Thanks for all the lovely best wishes.
I have had my first snuggle with 'Squirt' as I have affectionately nicknamed Lola Arizona - for reasons that it would be rude to share lol!!! and she is even more gorgeous IRL than the photos I shared earlier this week.

Here are some more up to date ones:

Before I go the winner of my little Birthday Bash candy is
Congrats hun - please e-mail your snail mail to me jesimpson@mar08.freeserve.co.uk

Thanks for all the lovely congratulations you have left me recently - you are all wonderful and I know I am truly blessed.

Hello Friend

Good evening. I'm back again with a card to share this time lol!! I took inspiration from the following challenges for this card:
Less is More - Butterflies
Simon Says Stamp - Sparkle & Shine
Paper Play - Sparkle Galore
Flutterby Wednesday - Open Theme - to include butterfly, fairy or angel

I stamped the gorgeous butterfly image into Angelina Fibres sandwiched between some Fantasy Film using Black Archival ink and an iron.

Basically you sandwich some of the Angelina Fibres between a top and bottom layer of Fantasy Film and then ink up the stamp (works best with rubber stamps) with a permanent ink. Place the sandwich on top of the stamp and then place a piece of greaseproof paper (or parchment or non-stick telfon mat) on top of that and iron over the top with a dry hot iron - just until you see the image coming through the paper - too much and you will lose the sparkle effect.

Here's a close up of the finished effect:

This also used:

Co-ordinating glitter card with Martha Stewart butterfly border punched edge.
Black adhesive pearls.
Sentiment - Whimsey Stamps - stamped and heat embossed then piunched out with Stampin' Up word window punch.

Thanks for popping by.

Only 3 more sleeps until I can get my first snuggle with my gorgeous new Grand-Daughter!

Have a fab evening.

Two Darling Little Beauties!

Good afternoon. Just a quick post to share my latest makes of the day.
No card this time - but just had to share these two little beauties.

Grandma's Girl

Grandma's Boy

I now have the matching set taking pride of place in my little crafty haven on my window sill - keeping me company and always in my thoughts.
I am truly blessed to be so lucky to have not just 1 but 2 darling little beauties.

Thanks for popping by.

Introducing Baby Pink

Yippppeeeeee she's arrived safe and sound!
Baby Lola Arizona Parker-Gray weighed in at 6lbs 6ozs at 12:45 today.
Both Mum & Baby are doing well.

Isn't she gorgeous!!!!

Unfortunately due to Jack having exams at school this week and John having a busy diary that he can't alter - I won't get my first snuggle until Thursday :-(
I just can't wait!!!!
Thanks for popping by.

Chocolate & Cream Delight

Good morning. It's an early start for me this morning as I am sitting awaiting the news of the safe arrival of 'baby pink' - as we have fondly named her until Katy decides what name she likes best. For those of you that read my blog regularly you will know that I became a Grandma for the first time 6 weeks ago to Oliver - my middle son Aaron's first child and that my eldest son Jamie is also going to be a Dad and it looks like it could be today :-) so I will be a Grandma for the second time to a beautiful 'baby pink'! Watch this space for further news :-)
So what better to do than have a play in my little crafty haven whilst waiting!

I took inspiration for my card from the following challenges:

Colour Create - White Cream & Brown
Crafty Emma's - Embellish It
Crafty Catz - Anything Goes
Fairy Knoll - Flowers

So here's what I used:
Image: PB Betsy Bluebell
Colouring Medium - Promarkers
Background created with Cricut Expression - Straight form the Nest cartridge
Ribbon and button from stash
Flowers - Wild Orchid Crafts

Thanks for popping by.
Hope to be back soon with news of 'baby pink'
Have a fabulous day.
