Going Round in Circles at Get Funky

Good morning. You might want to grab yourself a cuppa as this is quite a long post - I have soooooooooooooo much to share with you in it lol!!!
So let's start with my DT project for the Funky 15th challenge at Get Funky this month.
Allison is our host this time and asked us to take inspiration from
either by making a circular project or using circles/spots/dots in your DP - speaking of which Anice has designed a gorgeous freebie DP especially for this challenge and it's up for grabs here

So now you can join us in the challenge and be in with a chance of winning the fab prize of a
Funky Hand voucher as you need to use at least 1 FH product to qualify for the prize.
So here's my take on the theme:

I chose to make a circular card - really into these at the moment.
I have used Kraft card as the base - which I cut using my Cricut.
The DP's are from Funky Hand Paper Blossom download - available here
Sentiment cut using Cricut - Home Decor cartridge.
Spotty ribbon, pearl brad and adhesive gems from stash.
Image is also from Funky Hand - another recently new product range to the site
My image come from the Celebrate set and I have paper-pieced her dress.

So far you have had inspiration from

Then the lovely Jules with a tutorial on a Circular Easel card
followed by Lou with a gorgeous make over to a note book
Then Anice gave you all a sneaky peek into the brand new CD being launched today on Create & Craft at 10am (more on that to follow - see I told you it was a long post lol!!!)
Then it was Kathy's turn and Kathy also gave you a wonderful tutorial for making a
Handbag shaped card (spot the Funky Freebie too)

So what are you waiting for - get your freebie (or any other FH product) and show us your circular projects.

And finally (hurrah I hear you shout!!!)
Anice will be launching her latest and most fantastic new CD rom in the Papercraft Factory series today on Create and Craft at 10am
and it really is packed full of great Design Papers, fab digital images - pre-coloured and outline, templates, writer to add your words, alphas - the list goes on and on and on.
Here are a few projects I made using the CD that might just make a guest appearance on the T.V today lol!!

Sorry for the long post and lots of pictures and thanks for staying with me!
Have a fab day.

Time to Recycle at Allsorts

Good morning. What a long week this week has been don't ya think? But at last it is the weekend - hurrah!!!
This week over at Allsorts the lovely Helene has challenged us to
and we have an exciting new sponsor:
John & I received a M&S Gift Card from some friends at Christmas and I knew that I wanted to keep the Gift Card holder to re-use at a later date so I thought it would be perfect for this challenge!
Before recycling:
After recycling:

So here's what I used:
M&S Gift Card holder - covered in DP's from stash - not sure what make - sorry.
Image - PB Betsy Bluebell  ref:30-053 coloured with Letraset Aquamarkers - I love how these blend so easily and really do give the water-coloured effect
Wild Orchid Flowers
American Crafts pearl brads
Spellbinders Lacey Circles
Sentiment - Creative Expressions & Hero Arts (To: & From: on reverse)
Heart Gem from stash
So that's what I did - hope you can join in the fun with us this week.
Before I go I would like to say a huge thank you to my lovely blogging buddy Claire for giving me this stylish blog award:
Now I'm not very good with these especially as I'm supposed to tell you 8 things about myself - I can't promise they will be interesting - but here goes (oh and I hope I haven't told you them already lol!!!)
  1. I have to have the sound on the T.V, radio or C.D player on an even number
  2.  I definitely have a touch of OCD - I have to have things straight and organised - and perfectly aligned!!!
  3. I once appeared on The Wheel of Fortune (I might have shared that one with you before - sorry)
  4. I only took up papercrafting 3 years ago -when I stopped smoking and I'm more addicted to it than I was to smoking lol!!!
  5. I have 2 brothers and 1 sister and we were all brought up by my dad
  6. I was married, had two children and divorced by the age of 25
  7. I met my soul mate when I was 30 - and married 4 years later this year will be our14th anniversary
  8. I live for my family and love to be the mother hen - I think that must be the Jewish on me lol!!!
So not very interesting 8 random things - but that's me. Now I'm supposed to pass this on to 5 other peeps but I just can't pick between all my lovely friends - so anyone who would like to have this and share 8 random facts about themselves (hopefully more interesting than mine!!!) can take it with pleasure - just let me know if you do so I can pop by and see what you share with us!

Will be back tomorrow with my share for Get Funky and Anice will be launching the fabulous new CD - Craft the Year Away on Create & Craft at 10am but you can see a preview demo here now.
Thanks for popping by.
Have a wonderful day.

The first are all the same - a few quick Valentine makes and I would like to enter these into the new Valentine/Love challenge launched at Charisma Cardz today.

I have used some scrummy Craftwork cards DP mat and layered onto Bazzill Bling black cardstock.

The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the punched border is Martha Stewart scalloped dot punch.

Other challenges I would like to enter these into:

The next set of cards I would like to share with you have been made using 1 A4 sheet of DP - from the gorgeous Perfect Papers range just released at Pink Petticoat

Again as I wanted some quick & easy makes there are no stamped images - but I think the DP is soooooooo gorgeous that an image is not needed - what do you think?
I have used some scrummy organza and silk ribbons from The Ribbon Girl and flowers are again from Wild Orchid Crafts.
Sentiment ribbons from Pink Petticaot and circular stamped sentiment was a freebie from Craft Stamper magazine.
A few adhesive gems on some and pearl brads as finishing touches.

I love these Mices to Pieces!

Good afternoon. I just had to come back with another post today as I was soooooo very lucky to have won these gorgeous House Mouse stamp sets from Joanna Sheen
House-Mouse Designs Love Rubber Stamps - Snuggle Up JSHM028 - Click to view product        House-Mouse Designs Love Rubber Stamps - Smelling the Rose JSHM027 - Click to view product
when I entered the recent House Mouse & Friends Monday challenge
blog hop challenge a couple of weeks ago with this card, and they arrived today lol!!
So it would be rude not to make a card for the current challenge at House Mouse and the theme this time is EMBOSSING
Here's my take on it:
I have used one of the smaller images - although this is an A5 card
I cut the heart & swirl on my Cricut - twice - in red cardstock and then white slightly smaller to mat on top.
The background has been embossed with the Cuttlebug script folder and then inked with Barn Door Distress Ink.
A few stamped heart images, some gorgeous spotty rion and a bow with a spotty button just to finish it off.

I love these mices to pieces lol!!!

Thanks for popping by (again)

Bee My Valentine

Good morning. What a damp & grey start to the day here in Gloucestershire - hope it brightens up at least a little bit lol!!
Today sees another new challenge over at Lexi's Creations and this fortnight we have a very topical theme of 'VALENTINES'
So dig out those 'love'ly images/papers etc and show us your beautiful work.
I went for the FUN approach with mine and used the cute little BABY BEE image available here from Fairy Dust Crafts

I have used some scrummy Forever Friends DP's - printed from my CD-Rom
Hearts punched and letters added for the sentiment.
A touch of Stickles added to the wings and the bee trail.
A few heart gems to finish it off.

We have the wonderful Lexi herself sponsoring the challenge this fortnight and 1 lucky winner will be able to choose some gorgeous images which is great as there are some new images that have just released - you'll be spoilt for choice!!

Hope you can find the time over the next couple of weeks to join in the fun - I am looking forward to visiting your blogs and seeing all your beautiful work.
