A Christmas Birthday

Good morning from a very frosty Gloucestershire - and just a little dusting of snow!!!
This week over at  An Oldie But a Goodie we have a new theme picked by the lovely Liza and it suited me down to the ground because my sister celebrates her birthday on Boxing Day and Liza'a theme is:
A Christmas Birthday

I have used one of the first LOTV stamps I bought 'Fairies on Tiptoe' coloured with PM's and a touch of Glamour Dust.
The scrummy DP's are K&Co - a pad I have had for ages and re-discovered when tidying my craft space.
I have added a ribbon bow with a flower and button sewn into the centre.
A few tiny buttons and that's it done - sometimes less is more - don't you think?
Challenges I would like to enter are:

LOTV - Sketch
Sweet Stampin' - Buttons & Bows
Fairy Fun Friday - Buttons & Bows
Charisma Cardz - One For the Girls

Thanks for popping over.
Hope you can join in the fun this fortnight - but don't forget in order to win the scrummy prize in offer you must use a stamp (rubber or acrylic only - no DIGI images) that is
 months or more old.

Allsorts - Monochromatic

Good morning. Brrrrrr it is cold here this morning - but no snow :-(
I love the snow - just to look at and really only when it first lays - when it's deep and crisp and even
'fa la la la la la la la la' lol!!!!
Anyways it is Saturday so that means a new challenege at Allsorts - thanks to everyone that joined in the fun with Kirsten's Recipe Challenge last week.
This week the lovely Amanda aka Scotspanda wants to see your MONOCHROMATIC projects
So it can be any colour you choose as long as it just one colour and the different shades of that colour.

Now I know this looks blue but IRL it is actually Lilac - not sure why it looks this way on the photo :-(
I have used a LILAC base card and stamped a snowflake image (free with a Craft magazine) using PURPLE
adirondack ink and embossing with Cosmic Shimmer EP.
The scalloped frame was originally cream (I ordered the wrong colour for Craftwork cards - I really wanted white ones lol!!!) has been recoloured using Dusty Concorde distress ink and the raised snowflakes have been Diamond Stickled.
The sentiment is from Papermania - stamped with Perfect Medium and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer EP. The little reindeer was another freebie from the same set as the snowflake.

So that's what I did - please pop over and take a look at all the gorgoeus work from the rest of the DT.
Hope you can join in the fun with us again this week.
Challenges I would like to enter my card into are:
Simon Says Stamp - Let it Snow
Papertake Weekly - Cut it Out
Crafty Creations - Christmas
Alphabet Challenge Challenge - E for Embossing
Christmas Stampin - Anything Goes

Thanks for popping over.
Have a fab day.

Another Partridge in a Pear Tree

Good evening. Another late post from me - even later than yesterday and this time it's because I had to take Jack (my youngest) to A&E after school because they thought he had broken his finger playing basketball in PE - turns out he hasn't thank goodness - just a nasty sprain and very swollen - ouch!!! What makes it extraordinary is that Aaron (my middle son) was at the same hospital on Monday with the same finger suspected to be broken - he did it swinging from a rope swing and luckily his wasn't broken either - and they were both seen by the same nurse!!! Can you imagine what they must be thinking!!!!
Anyways my share for the day is with another Partridge in a Pear Tree image - but more traditional Christmas colours this time:

I have followed the sketch at Christmas Stampin All Year Long and used some gorgeous DP's from Pink Petticoat - Fairy Lights
This also used;
Image coloured with PM's
Martha Stewart - Deep Edge Border Punch & Snowflake Punch
Adhesive Gems
Diamond Stickles

Other challenges I would like to enter are:
Crafty Pad - Green & Red
ABC Christmas - X is for Christmas

Thanks for popping by.

Golden Delight

Good morning.
I hope you can forgive me for posting another altered notebook so soon - if you haven't seen the first one it is here but I bought 2 and needed another one as a Christmas present so here it is:

I have used the themes at Totally Tilda, Die Cut Dreams and Just Magnolia for the inspiration.
Totally Tilda are looking for Glitz & Gold, Die Cut Dreams want anything but a card and Just Magnolia want White Plus 1
I have used a gorgeous speciality paper from a K&Co 12x12 pad - another one I have had for some time that I used 'stroked' lol!!!
The darling Tilda was a stamp I won last year at Friday Sketchers and I have used a gold metallic Brilliance ink pad to colour her gown with - IRL it has a lovely pearlescent sheen but I can't seem to capture it on the photo - sorry! I also used PM's to colour the rest of Tilda and some scrummy Gold Glamour Dust for her wings and stars.
Here is a close up of the delicious Wild Orchid flowers and the leaves which were die cut from a satin finish mirror card using a Spellbinders die:

They have had the stickles treatment to add extra sparkle.
To finish it all off a length of sparkly gold ribbon (from my local cake shop) and some gold letters from stash.

I can hardly bring myself to talk about the results of the weekend TV - suffice to say that when that mad woman was voted to do another challenge - I voted with the remote and switched her off and I have now boycott the programme altogether!!!

Hope you all had a fab weekend and here's to a great week.
Thanks for popping over.

Another Gift for Christmas

Good morning. Well DH wasn't very happy when he came home from Wincanton yesterday (he went for a 'special' karate training session as he is grading for his black belt next month) - all that way and the trainer was late arriving but they still had to finish at the alloted time as another group had the hall booked - so he felt he had been diddled out of 1/2hr training and he 'missed' his usual Saturday afternoon snooze!!
I spent the morning in my little crafty haven and used the time to make another Christmas gift for someone, this time using the fab sketch at Penny Black Staurday this week (I missed the challenge last week so thought I better get in early this week). I decided to make an easel style desk calendar.

I bought these little calendars in Hobbycraft ages ago and when I tidied my craft room last week I found them - hurrrahhh!!

This also used:
Penny Black images from 'Wonderful Day' coloured with PM's
Images stamped direct onto mat cut using Spellbinders lacy squares and edges inked with Peeled Paint DI
DP's are the last few pages of my Basic Grey 'Sugar Rush' pad - edges inked with Peeled Paint DI
Flowers - Wild Orchid Crafts
Frond - Martha Stewart punch
Butterfly - Martha Stewart punch
A few adhesive gems from stash for finishing touch

Other challenges I would like to enter are:
Basic Grey - Wings (and BG product)
Secret Crafter - Handmade Christmas Gifts

What a fab night of TV last night - the dancing was a-maz-ing, 'most' of the singing was super and how patient was Sheryl Gascoigne with that dreadful woman - even the presenters know what a 'fraud' she is really - why are people still voting for her to have more airtime - that is exactly what she wants!!!
Let's hope the results for the dancing & X Factor reflect the true talent and the right people go.

Hope you have a fab day.

An Allsorts Recipe

Good morning. A bit of a dull miserable start to the day here in Gloucestershire I really dislike these dreary mornings. This morning we were woken to little Pickle Lili cat playing with a mouse she caught and brought in - not the best start to the day eh?
Anyways it's Saturday so that means a new challenge over at Allsorts and this week the theme has been picked by the lovely Kirsten who would like to see Lace, Ribbon & a Charm  on your projects.
So I took this plain boring note book - that coast £1.00 in Tesco

and turned it into this

You will see I have used 1 of my new LOTV images - this one is called 'Best Friends'
I have coloured the delightful image with PM's and added a touch of Diamond Stickles round the edge of the mat.
The scrummy DP's I have had for quite a while and didn't want to cut into them - but as this is going to be a Christmas Gift for someone special I guess that was a good enough reason to use them now lol!!!

I have added a strip of ribbon with a gorgeous sparkly edge (from my local haberdashery) and a length of sparkly lace.
The chipboard letters are from a hugh scrapbook set I got from QVC years ago and I still have tons of it left! I added a touch of Diamond Stickles here to bring them to life.

I finished by adding a few srummy flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and the frond is from Martha Stewart punch.

Challenges I would like to enter are:
LOTV - Glitter & Glitz
Paper Romance - Favourite Things (LOTV images, PM's, stickles, ribbon)
Creative Cottage - For Someone Special
Paper Sundaes - Sundae Toppings (Punch, Ribbon & Blue)

Hope you can join us this week.
Don't forget to pop over and see all the lovely work from the rest of the DT.

Silver Spacers & Pearl Brads from Hobby House

Hope you are all having a fab day.

Here's Another Quickie

Hello again (this is my second post today - things are definitely looking up lol!!)
This is another card for the same customer that ordered the card for a 4 year old (see previous post). This time it is for her friend's birthday - she wanted 'something pretty'. I think this LOTV image is very pretty and perfect for any female birthday.

As always I have managed to fit this into a challenge lol!!! This time it is for the sketch challenge at Everybody Art - which finishes tomorrow - so only just made it in time!
So here's what I used:
LOTV Teddy with Bouquet coloured with PM's
Martha Stewart PATP Scroll Lace
DP's from scrap box - no name sorry
Sentiment - Craftwork cards
Adhesive pearls - Hobby house
Thanks for popping by (again!!)

Super Sweet with Attitude at 4

Good morning. It's a lovely blue sky & sunshine start to the day here in Gloucestershire - but it is freezing lol!!! Jack has gone off to school happy as larry as it means the school playing field will be 'iced' over and great for slip/sliding as he described it.
Anyways today I have a commissioned card to share with you - it is for a 4 year old girl and I immediately thought this little Miss Attitude would suit perfectly lol!!

I have followed the sketch over at The Sugar Bowl and I have used Nice & Bright colours so it fits this week's challenge at Moving Along With the Times
Here's what I used:
Image - Sugar Nellie Little Miss Attitude - coloured with PM's
DP's - DCWV - Sweet
Ribbons from stash
Glitter Heart - Sizzix Die
Glitter Number - from stash
Sentiment - Pink Petticoat

I hope the recipient likes the card as much I as I enjoyed making it.
Thanks for popping over.
Have a fab day.
See you tomorrow with another Oldie But Goodie challenge.
