A Christmas Birthday

Good morning. Today I would like to share a card I have made for the sketch challenge at The Sugar Bowl - it will eventually make it's way to my sister who has her birthday on Boxing Day!

It also fits the sketch challange at Cute Card Thursday

Time to Celebrate

Good morning.
Today I would like to share a bithday card I have made for somesone special - can't name names as they might be reading this and I haven't posted it yet lol!!!

I had fun getting inky fingers making this - can't decide what my style is really - one minute I love the 'Plain & Simple' - the next I love lots of embellies and then I enjoy making ones like this!!! No wonder my mind is always racing with different ideas and projects!!!
Anyway for this card I created the backgeound using Distress Inks - Dried Marigold, Brushed Corduroy, Fired Brick and Bundled Sage - spritzed with Pearl Glimmer Mist and then swooshed onto cardstock and overstamped with PB Script Stamp.
Main image is PB4036K Letters and Flowers stamped in Victorian Velvet and heat embossed with Cosmic Shimmer clear.
This also used:
Martha Stewart border punch
Adhesive pearls
Retro Flower Punch
Ribbon from stash
Sentiment - Freebie from Craft Stamper

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

Clean & Simple at Allsorts

Good morning. I love the new challenge theme at Allsorts this week - picked by Emma - thanks hun!
I have been going through a 'clean & simple' phase with my crafting so this suited me right down to the ground lol!!!

I got my inspiration for this card from an article in this month's Craft Stamper.
It really is nice & easy but I think very elegant - what do you think?
I started by cutting an aperture in a 'scrap' piece of cardstock and then used this as a template to ink through direct onto my base card with Shabby Shutters and Peeled Paint Distress Inks. I then stamped the tree image (from Creative Expressions) slightly overlapping the inked shape - adding a 'touch' of stickles to bring it to life!
The sentiment is also from Creative Expressions.

So put away all those embellies and keep it nice and simple this week.
Thanks for taking time to pop over - let me know you have been so I can pop over to see you too.

Cute Little Hedgies for a Couple of Challenges

Good afternoon - where has the day gone??? I can't believe that I have spent all morning just making 2 cards!! I would usually have knocked out at least 3 or 4 in the time it has taken me to complete these and the time wasn't spent colouring in - as you can see from the size of the images lol!!!
But when I can only manage to stay sat/stood in one place for a short time I guess it's a wonder I can put anything together at all!!!
Anyways I have combined a few challenges with theses two cards and have put them together on one post - hopefully normal posting will resume soon!!

My first card is for the wonderful Penny Black Saturday challenge and this week they have given us a fab sketch to work with. Here is my take on it:
This used:
PB image from The Wonder ref: 30-040 coloured with Copics
DP's freebie from Crafts Beautiful
Nesties - circle & scalloped circle
Circle & Star punches
Papaermania Shimmer Dots

My next card is for a friend and fits the following challenges:
Create 4 Fun - Sketch
Daring Cardmakers - Come Fly with Me

This used:
PB Image from Wonderful Day coloured with Copics - the balloon has been decoupaged and I have added Glossy Accents
DP's - Funky Hand Dreams CD-Rom
Satin Ribbon - I ruched thius myself and I am quite pleased with the result lol!
Tiny Alpha letters - Cosmo Cricet
Heart Punch

Thanks for popping over.
Enjoy your day.

I have used one of the small images and sentiment from the set and I don't think it looks lost - what do you think?

Have a Heart Tilda

Good evening.
I have had a little play this afternoon and decided to alter a Gift Box I have had for ages.

I started by painting the box with an Adirondack Paint Dabber in Pool and then covered the lid with some scrap DP. I added a string of Pearls around the edge and some lace as well.
The gorgoeus Tilda image has been delicately coloured with Distress Inks.
I added a flower spacer to some layered Prima Flowers, a couple of punched hearts, a touch of Stickles and a Craftwork Cards sentiment.
I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
Just Magnolia - Lace it Up
Secret Crafter - Anything Goes
ASFOS - Anything Goes
Totally Papercrafts - Happy Birthday
Paper Play Challenges - All Shapes & Sizes

Since posting my DT project for An Oldie But A Goodie this morning I have now got my appointment for an MRI - this Friday morning - things happen fast when you are paying for it!!

Hope you have had a lovely day.
Thanks for popping over.

Oldie but a Goodie - Pink & Girly

Good morning. Today I would like to share my DT card for our second challenge at An Oldie but a Goodie.
This time Lisa has picked the theme and would like to see your Pink & Girly projects - how easy is that lol - don't forget though that you must have a stamped image and it must be 6 months or more old to qualify for the prize.
Here is my take on it:

I have used a gorgeous Sarah Kay image - I haven't inked her up for such a long time - I really love this challenge as it allows us to revisit and use some gorgeous stamps that haven't been used for ages.
Thus also used:
DP's are a mix of Bo Bunny and Anna Griffin.
Flowers - Prima & Wild Orchid Crafts
Hearts - Hobbycraft
Martha Stewart Butterfly Punch
Ribbon & Gems from stash

Well some of you may have read on my last post that I had an appointment with an Orthopedic Consultant yesterday regarding my back problem and the outcome is I have to have another MRI scan before any further diagnosis/treatment can be discussed - so I am waiting to hear back when I have an appointment.

Thanks for popping over - hope you find some time to dig out some of your gorgeous neglected Oldie but Goodie stamps and join us with your take on this week's challenge.
Looking forward to seeing your gorgeous work.

Sorry it's late

Good afternoon. Sorry I am late uploading my DT project for Allsorts this week. You may have seen in my last post that I have been having some trouble with my back and this week hasn't been a good week!
I now have an appointment on Monday to see an Orthopedic Consultant - so will hopefully have a better idea with what can or indeed may not be abe to be done to improve things for me.
Anyways enough waffle about that.
This week at Allsorts the mega talented Fleur challenged us to use
on our projects.
Here is  my take on it:

I have used some gorgeous new Christmas papers from Bo Bunny 'Gift of Love' range. I love this colour combo.
The 3 punches I have used are:
Martha Stewart - 2 border punches - Scroll Lace and Scallop 3 Dot
Martha Stewart - Snowflake (corner punch)
Image - LOTV coloured with Copics

Hope you are able to join in the fun this week.
Thanks for popping over.
