Bloom & Grow - Allsorts DT Project

Good morning. It has been an age since I last posted live - thanks though to Mr Blogger scheduled posts - he was very well behaved whilst I was away on my jollie holiday and posted all the schedules posts I had set up lol!!
We had a fab time - can't believe the weather since we got back though - it's soooooooooooo  miserable. Let's hope it picks up again soon - it's too early for jumpers and heavy clothes - besides I have a hard -earned tan to show off still lol!!!
Anyway enough waffle - onto my card for the new challenge theme at Allsorts this week and it has been picked by the very lovely Helene 'Take inspiration from the Garden or Park'

I have used a gorgeous digi image from the Pink Petticoat 'In My Garden' range - softly coloured with Copics and a sprinkling of Glamour Dust.
The very beautiful DP's are also from Pink Petticoat - 'Vintage Rose'. They are so gorgeous and elegant and you get soooooooooooo many in the download you are spoilt for choice.
The 'ribbon' sentiment is also from Pink Petticoat.
The only other thing I have used is a Martha Stewart border punch.

Hope you find time to join us this week - I am looking forward to getting back into blogland and seeing all your wonderful creations.
Don't forget there is still time to enter the 'Glitter & Glitz' challenge this month at Penny Black at Allsorts - and what could be more garden inspired than the cute PB hedgie so you could combine the two challenges!!

Thanks for popping over.

Allsorts - In Miniture

Hello again from sunny Portugal courtesy of Mr Blogger scheduled posts!
Over at Allsorts this week we are all working in miniture as Amanda challenged us to make a project no more than 3" square.
I immediately knew what I wanted to do.
I have seen these Post -It note holders before and thought they would be perfect for this challenge and as I bought a pack of 4 coloured Post-Its, I thought I would make them coloured co-ordinated!

Hope you can join in too.
Thanks for popping over.

Recycle Something for Creative Inspirations

Good morning. Wowzers but did we have an amazing amount of entries to our last challenge.
Apologies if we didn't get round to leaving a comment for everyone but with the holiday season upon us it can be difficult sometimes.
Talking of holidays - I am away and relying on good old Mr Blogger scheduled posts to bring this to you.

This week at Creative Inspirations challenge blog we have be challenged to recycle something. We are being sponsored by Meljen Designs who are giving 1 lucky winner 4 images of their choice. We also have another sponsor - Fantastic Ribbons who are giving 10 rolls of ribbon as a prize - how fab is that!!
The DT have been very lucky to receive some gorgeous Meljen Design images to work with and here is my card:

My recycled item is the ribbon - from a pair of PJ's.

Hope you can join us.

Allsorts - Primary Colours Only

Good morning. I hope Mr. Blogger has been good and posted this for you to see whilst I am sitting around the poolside somewhere in Portugal.

This week over at Allsorts Emma challenged us to use only PRIMARY COLOURS - a minimum of 2 colours to be used.
I went for RED & BLUE as I knew exactly which papers I wanted to use and what sort of card I wanted to make - not usually so decisive lol!!!

I wanted to use these gorgeous DP's from The Craft Table - Winter Wonderland - thanks Martine they are gorgeous - probably my fav. Crimbo papers from last year.

I have made an aperture card

This used:
Craftwork Cards - Scalloped Edge base card - with one of the DP's printed direct onto it.
Circle & Scalloped circle nesties
Card Candy
DP's Winter Wonderland Pack - The Craft Table
Image - Creative Expressions stamped 3 times with Blue Jeans distress ink and glittered with Crystal Glamour Dust
Sentiment - Winter Wonderland Pack
Ribbon, Star and Gem from stash.

Hope you can join the fun.

Thanks for popping by.
Hope to catch up when I get home - 23 August.
I have scheduled more DT work whilst I'm away but won't be able to visit you until I return as I have no internet access.

Bring on the Bling

Good afternoon.
A late post for me today - got lots to do before going on hols on Friday!
I would like to share my card that I have made for the
'Bring on the Bling' challenge at Sir Stampalot this month.

I was asked by a friend to make a
25th Wedding Anniversary card.
The background was created using various Distress Inks and Pearl Glimmer mist - IRL it really shimmers. I then overstamped with PB Script - just on one side - on the other side I used silver miror card - with a Martha Stewart heart border punched down the side.
The image has been stamped with Victorian Velvet distress ink and the edges inked too.
Flowers - retro punch and gems from stash
Sentiment - PC generated

Hope you have had a lovely day.
Thanks for popping over.

PB at Allsorts - Glamour & Bling

Good morning. It's the first of the month and that means it's time for a new challenge at Penny Black at Allsorts and this month the theme is
Glamour & Glitz.

I have two projects to share with you for this challenge.
The first is a set of notelets and a thank you card that I made for Jack to give to his Y6 teacher as his leaving gift.

It is disappointing that the photos don't show the gorgeous 'bling' on these cards. I started by 'squidging' various distress ink colours onto a non-stick craft mat and then spritzed the inks with Pearl Glimmer Mist and then 'squidged' some linen textured cardstock over the inks to create a gorgeous shimmery backgroud to stamp the elegant Penny Black Love Blush image (3815J) with archival black and then heat embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Lapis Pearl.
I also then sprinkled the flower heads with Star Dust stickles and glittered the edge if the cardstock with stickles too.
This also used:
DP's - free download from
Satin ribbon from Hobbycraft
Adhesive gems
Sentiment - Creative Expressions

My second project is an easel card and I have used another beautiful Penny Black floral image - Gossamer (3865K) this time I 'coloured' the image with wet glue and sparkly glitters.

This also used:
DP's - as before
Martha Stewart large Daisy Border punch
Wild Orchid mini rosehead flowers
Gorgeous Pin from Posh Pins
Sentiment - Craftwork Cards

There are some fabulous prizes up for grabs this month - pop over and take a look

Don't forget that you have all month to join in the fun.

Thanks for popping by.
Have a wonderful day.
