Good morning. Another bright & early start this morning - Jack is back at school and I have Monday's off so I have had a little play with some distress inks and Cosmic Shimmer pearlescent paint.
I started by squidging Worn Lipstick, Broken China and Shabby Shutters distress inks onto a non-stick craft mat and then spritzed with water and pressed a piece of linen effect cardstock onto the colours - moving it around a little to pick the colours up and mix then just a little bit. Then I mixed up some of the CS Watercolour paint in pearlescent and dabbed onto the cradstock with a scrunched up plastic bag and dried with heat gun before stamping the large swirl in the corner with Peeled Paint distress ink. I then inked the edges with Worn Lipstick on one side and Broken China on the other.
The image is Penny Black Gossamer 3865K - stamped onto linen effect cardstock with Peeled Paint distress ink and watercoloured with Worn Lipstick, Broken China & Shabby Shutters - I also stamped some of the swirl with Peeled Paint in the opposite corner to the base card. A little bit of mat & layering with co-ordinating cardstock, some gorgeous Wild Orchid Flowers, a few adhesive pearls and a sentiment from Craftwork Cards to finish it off.
I would like to enter this into the 'Swirls' challenge at Penny Black this week and The Crafty Pad want to see Pearls & Swirls and Cupcake Crafts want to be 'Dazzled' - my sparkle is the Pearlescent Paint.
I have really enjoyed making this card and I am quite pleased with the result - hope you like it too.
Thanks for popping by.
