Papertake Weekly - GDT Project

Good afternoon. This is my second GDT project for Papertake Weekly - starting to feel sad now as that means I  only have 2 more weeks left :(
I loved making this set - it's so bright and cheery - not at all like the weather we are having at the moment!!!!
The theme this week if you haven't already guessed is Easter. I had a go at making a pyramid style box - so simple really and quite large when you use 1 A4 sheet of card - just perfect for filling with scrummy creme eggs though lol!!! And of course as it's going to be a gift for someone this Easter I made a matching card.

This used:

Image - freebie stamped and embossed and coloured with PM's
DP's Pinik Petticoat
Martha Stewart Double Dots Border Punch
Ribbon & flower from stash

Hope you are able to join us this week - can't wait to see your wonderful projects.

Thanks for popping over.

Allsorts - Rags to Riches

Good morning and welcome to the weekend. WOW WOW WOW we had the most ever entries last week at Allsorts - thank you all so much. It was lovely to see such gorgeous work.
Don't forget to check who the lucky winner of Amanda's prize was.
Unfortunately Amanda had been taken to hospital early in the week with suspected gallstones and has not been able to visit as many of you as she would have liked and therefore it would not be fair to choose a Top5 this week.

So on to this week's challenge.

Our lovely new teamie Helene set the DT a challenge of 'Rags to Riches' - we could either recycle something or alter something. I opted for altering something and set off to find something to alter. I decided to alter my storage box of flowers from Craftwork Cards. I started by 'colouring' the base & lid with a couple of my favourite alcohol inks and then decorated the lid with some DP's and of course some gorgeous flowers. Finished with a touch of ribbon and some Papermania cardstock letters.

I enjoyed this challenge so much I decided to do a couple more projects:

Don't forget to check out all the other wonderful inspiration from the rest of the DT

Hope you can find the time to join us this week.
Have a wonderful day.
Thanks for popping over.

To a Special Couple

Hi again (this is my third post of the day). This time I would like to share my entry to the LOTV challenge with you. This fortnight they have a fab sketch to follow - I love sketch challenges. I had a request to make a 40th Wedding Anniversary card and this is what I came up with:

This adorable image is one of my new stamps from Lili of the Valley - coloured with Copics and a touch of Cosmic Shimmer Twinkles. I had a go at cutting outside the Nestie - not as bad as I feared it would be! The scrummy DP's are from Funky Hand Paper Factory CD - printed onto a sparkle paper - the photo doesn't pick this up unfortunately. And yep, you have spotted those gorgeous flowers - my delivery that was waiting for me when I got home from Wild Orchid Crafts. The ribbon and gems are from stash.

Thanks for popping over (again)!!!
Enjoy the rest of the evening.

Friday Sketchers Meets Sassy Susie

Good evening. What a dull wet and horrible day it is here - hope it's better wherever you are. The DP's are from Nitwits and this time I have distressed the edges and inked with Tattered Rose distress ink. The image is Sarah Kay 'How Sweet You are' coloured with Copics. Flowers & button from statsh.

Have a wonderful evenimg.

Penny Black Sketch Challenge

Good morning - just a quick post before leaving for work.
This is my take on the fab sketch over at Penny Black Saturday Challenge this week and it is a card I have made for a friend of my MiL who will be 80 years young!

This is one of ny favourite PB image - Fireworks 3948K stamped with Adirondack Espresso ink and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer clear. The DP's are Nitwits 'Affection Too' The larger letter has been cut from Bazzill Bling with the MM Slice. I stamped the 'happy' sentiment onto the letter with the same ink and embossing powder and the 'birthday' direct onto the DP then placed the letter to hide the stamped 'b'.
Finished with some ribbon and ghems from stash.
Thanks for popping over.
Have a wonderful day.

Whooo I'm a GDT member for.................................

Good afternoon everyone. I have been bursting to tell you all about my fabulous news since last week, but I had to wait until today to share it with you.
I have been picked as to be a GDT for PAPERTAKE WEEKLY - whooooooooooooo hoooooooooooo!!!!! I love this challenge blog and have joined in most weeks since I started my blog nearly a year ago now (note to self: must look into some candy for my fab followers to celebrate).

Anyhow without further ado I would like to share my debut Papertake Weekly GDT project with you:
This week the fabulous Dawny P has given us a sketch to work with and here's my take on it:

The image is Hero Arts CL375 stamped with Rangers Distress Ink - Peeled Paint - with a touch of PM colouring and a dabble of Cosmic Shimmer Aqua Twinkles.
The DP's are Pink Petticoat (except the centre panel which is from the Funky Hand Papercraft Factory CD) and I have distressed and inked the edges and the border punch is Martha Stewart Doily Punch.
The butterfly and the foliage have been cut using MM Slice - I stamped the foilage and then added a generous swoosh of the Aqua Twinkles - see how different the colour looks on light & dark backgrounds!
The sentiment is a MM rub-on.
Well that's it folks, my first GDT project done and posted - I hope you are able to join us this week, I am so looking forward to seeing all your beautiful work.
Enjoy the rest of the day and have a great evening.

I have coloured the beautiful Tilda with Copics this time. As the paper is so gorgeous I have keep the rest of the embellishments quite simple, Martha Stewart doily border punch, one beautiful rose head flower, a few pearls and a gorgeous sheer organza ribbon bow.

I would also like to enter this into the Ribbon Challenge at Totally Gorjuss

Tilda's Not Square

Good evening.  I thought I would make a different shaped card to the usual square one and I opted for a DL one - it just fit perfectly with the sketch challenge at MAWTT
Tilda has been coloured with PM's and I have had a go at adding a few white highlights - not sure I'm any good at this!! The DP's are from Funky Hand Papercraft CD - the cardstock on the bottom half has been embossed with the cuttlebug script folder through my Bigshot and I added some distress ink to it.
The ribbon has a gorgeous twinkle to it.
Hope you have had a lovely day.
Thanks for popping over.
