It's a Match

Good evening. Well another challenge made by the skin of my teeth. This one is for the 'Matching Set' at Cupcake Craft Challenge this week.

I have used Hero Arts - Large Flower stamped with Brillance Rocket Red ink onto pink coredinations cardstock, cut out and layered onto stamped swirl from Creatie Expressions. I added a couple of Flora Doodle flowers - originally white until attacked by the PM's. A few adhesive red flat back pearls and some red satin ribbon to finish.

Thanks for popping by.

Be Mine - Valentine

I have been up since 5.30am - washing all done, and housework done so had some time to play. This is my entry for the challenge at Polka Doodles & Penny Black this week.

Gorjuss Hearts

Good afternoon. This is my second post of the day and I thought I would get in 'early' this week for the SCSC as I only just made it (literally) in time last week lol!!!!
I have combined the 'Heart' challenge at SCSC with the challenges at Totally Gorjuss - 'Paper Piecing' and at ASFOF - 'Freestyle'

I thought I would have a go at doing a 'stepper' card with the step in the centre.

I have used the Gorjuss girl with teddy stamp and paper pieced the dress with same DP used - I think it's Bo Bunny but not sure and coloured the rest with PM's

The hearts have been die cut using Sizzix die 654998 and attached with a couple of eyelets.

Finishing touches - ribbon and buttons from stash.

Hope you are having a great day.

Thanks for popping over.

Allsorts wants you

Good morning everyone and welcome to a special week at Allsorts - this week we would like to see you follow the sketch below and if you are interested in being on our Design Team please put DT after your name when you link to mr linky...all we ask is because this is for a DT position, please make a new project, any link to an old project will not be entered. We would also like to ask that this project be only for Allsorts and not linked to any other challenge...
Here's my take on the sketch
These DP's are truly scrummy - so textured they feel almost like fabric! They are by Black Market and I got them from my local craft shop Paperarts The image is Penny Black - Gossamer 3865K and I have paper pieced it with some of the gorgeous spotty DP and added a burnished co pper brad to the flower centres.
Finished with a couple of punched flowers and as it's for a 50th birthday I added some Papermania cardstock numbers.
Don't forget to pop over to the Allsorts blog to see who won Lisa's challenge last week and who Lisa picked as her Top5 - not an easy decision to make as we had so many gorgeous entries - thank you for all your support.
Thanks for dropping by.
Have a lovely crafty day.

Having fun with Alcohol (inks)

Good afternoon. Kaboodle Doodles were looking for anything but a card this week. I bought a very cheap diary that looked this:

and after a liberal dose of Alcohol Inks in Wild Plum & Stream and then following the sketch at Creative Inspirations it now looks like this:

The image is from Digistamp Boutique - coloured with Copics - I also custom made an Alcohol Ink pen with the Wild Plum which I used to colour the flowers in the centre vase - I now NEED to get some more empty pens to custom make some more lol!!!

The DP's are from the new Funky Hand CD - Dreams Come True

Letters - Papermania Cardstock stickers.

Thanks for popping over.

Allsorts week 36 - Hearts & Flowers

Good morning and welcome to another Allsorts challenge. But first - a great big thank you to all that took part in last week's challenge - wow you really did like that colour combo didn't you!! Don't forget to pop over to the Allsorts blog to see who won Kirsten's fab prize and who was picked as the Top5.

Lisa has picked a great theme for this week of 'Hearts & Flowers'. I decided to go for something totally different to my usual style of project and I had a go at 'altered art' (ish!!!!! lol!!). I started with a reather dull and plain chipboard frame that I painted with Cosmic Shimmer sparkle paint then distressed the edges with Black Soot distress ink. I stamped Hero Arts CL375 Big Flowers onto swirl patterned grunge board then inked with Rocket Red brilliance ink and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer embossing powder, I also did the same to a couple of heart shapes. I cut the sentiment using the Slice and inked the edges with Balck Soot.I layered them onto the bottom of the frame, overlapping and using 3D foam pads to give some depth and dimension. Added a couple of black buttons to the flower centres and few flower and heart embellishments from stash. By the time I had finished this project I had the reddist (is that a real word???!!!) fingers I have ever seen lol!! but I can honestly say that I really enjoyed making it.

I hope you can pop over to see the other wonderful DT projects and that you can find some time to join us this week.

Thanks for popping over.

Have a great day.

A Desk Calendar for me

Good afternoon. Just a quick post today to show a desk calendar I have made for myself at work. I have used the sketch at CCSR blog where they are also doing the DP's - from the Retail Therapy range as a free download.
I love these colours - they are so bright and cheery so I am hoping that whatever the weather when I'm at work with this on my desk it will cheer me up!
Hope you have had a lovely day.
Thanks for popping over.

Miss Anya - Black, White & 1 other

Good afternoon. I've had a lovely day at home today as not able to get to school because we had more snow this morning - it's all gone now though!

For this card I had a go at creating my own DP (not the gorgeous stripey one - that's from Pink Petticoat) - available here, the green & black swirly one. First I took a piece of heavy plain cardstock and using some cut & dry foam I covered it with Peeled Paint distress ink. Then I stamped the background flourish with the same ink and finally over stamped the smaller flourish with Archival Black ink. I think I'm quite pleased with the final result.

The gorgeous Miss Anya has been coloured with copics, cut out and mounted onto nesties labels 4 - I distressed the edges of the white layer with the Peeled Paint distress ink.

Finished off with some flowers, gems and ribbon from stash. Sentiment - computer generated.

I am entering this into the Anyone for Anya challenge this week - Black, White and 1 other colour.

Thanks for popping over.

Sentiment - Pink Petticoat
Right, got to get ready for work now.

Penny Black - Pure & Simple Elegance

Good evening. Penny Black have a colour scheme this week of Blue, Cream and Gold and as I think that is a really elegant combo I thought I would keep the card clean and simple. The DP's are from Pink Petticoat and although they look quite white they are the double cream version that I also coloured over with my Ivory PM. The image and sentiment have both been simply stamped with Versamark and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer gold EP. Finishing touch of some cream grosgrain ribbon and a few flower brads from stash.

Thanks for popping over.
