A Floral Delight

Good  morning. I don't know about you but I feel totally confused as to which day of the week it is - so I am hoping that it is Tuesday and time for a new challenge at An Oldie but a Goodie - or this post will be the fullest sneeky peek ever lol!!!

This fortnight the lovely Francesca has given us a sketch to work with - and what a great sketch it is too!

Here's my take on it:

I have used one of my favourite old PB floral stamp - coloured with PM's.
The DP's are K&Co
Flowers have been punched in two sizes and glittered with Stickles and finished with an adhesive pearl in the centre.
Sentiment - Craftwork Cards with edge inked with Distress Ink
Ribbon and charm from stash.

I would like to enter this into the Penny Black Saturday Challenge - a recipe of
3 DP's 1 Ribbon and 1 Charm

Hope you have a fabulous day - we are going for a run out somewhere today - not sure where but wherever we end up it will be lovely to be out enjoying some fresh air.

Anything Goes at Allsorts

Good morning. Well we have now got some snow here this morning - not much but apparently a lot more is on it's way!! Hope you are all keeping safe & warm where you are.
Before I tell you about this week's challenge at Allsorts I would like to say a massive thank you for all the wonderful projects we had last week - so many of you are just like me and still making
Last Minute Christmas cards, gifts, tags etc!!! Next year I would like to think I could be more organised but I don't think I will be really!!!
So this week we have a new challenge as picked by the lovely Brenda and we keeping simple so
you decide what you would like to do!!

I had a request from a friend to make a retirement card for her son's teacher and this is what I came up with:

Now I don't know why but the cardstock I used is a lovely deep burgandy colour but here it looks brown????!!!!
Anyways I have used a long forgotten stamp from Creative Expressions stamped and then coloured with PM's. The edges of the card have been inked with Victorian Velvet Distress Ink and then mat & layered onto cardstock that has been PATP with Martha Stewart scroll lace punch and the edges of this also inked.
Finally layered onto the deep rich burgandy coloured cardstock and a few adhesive pearls in each corner.
The sentiment is from a digi set of retirement sentiments from Whimsy Stamps

Here's a view from another angle that shows the colour of the cardstock a little bit better!!
Hope you find a bit of time in your last minute preparations for the BIG DAY to join in the fun - oh and this time the challenge runs for 2 weeks!!
Thanks for popping over.

Glitter & Pearls but not a Christmas card in sight

Good morning. First I need to say YIPEE Matt won X Factor and I am sooooooooo glad he did!!!
Now that's done I also need to tell you that I have been very lucky to be asked to join the lovely Lexi and her team at Lexi's Creations and today I would like to share my first DT project with you.

Allsorts Last Minute Christmas

Good  morning. This week at Allsorts it was my turn to pick the challenge theme and as it happens what I picked was very apt for me lol!!! I have been so busy this week - the reason why to be revealed in the not too distant future - but it is all very exciting (for me anyway!!) so the theme of
is very apt indeed!!

I have made a few of these cards for the neighbours this year.
They really were quick and simple to put together.
Images are from the Hero Arts:
CL464 Poly CLEAR Sending Holiday Cheer set
A little masking and a touch of colouring with PM's and a dash of Glamour Dust and that was as easy as it was.
The background was created using Faded Jeans Distress Ink on a piece of Pale Blue cardstock, mounted onto some Silver Mirri card.
Hope you can join us this week.
Thanks for popping by.
