Penny Black Challenge

Good evening - just a quick post before the best programme ever comes on - of course I'm talking 'X' Factor!
This is my entry for great sketch challenge at Penny Black Saturday Challenge this week.

I had a go at colouring this little image with Distress Inks and I'm quite pleased with the results so may have to do this more often. The DP's are BG Eskimo Kisses. The snowflakes have been cut using the Fa La LA Slice design card and generously coated in Icicle stickles and the 'Noel' sentiment was also cut out using the Slice.

Just time for a cuppa before the fun begins.

Thanks for popping over.

Have a great evening.

Good evening. The lovely Wendy from Wendy's Digital Doodling has very kindly given this gorgeous digi image for free to use in their 2nd challenge. They are also offering the chance to win this super prize from their sponsor this week - Simply Create.

Why not pop over to Wendy's and take a look for yourself.
I am also entering this card into the following challenges:

Off to watch I'm a Celebrity now.
Enjoy your evening.

An Early Christmas Present

My wonderful husband treated me to an early Christmas present and I got it yesterday!
So now my craft room has gone from looking like this:

To looking like this:

Still got all the papers & cardstock to sort through - not looking forward to that, but it can't be as bad as colour sorting brads & buttons and ribbon tidying lol!!!
I feel soooooooooooo organised now. Could really do with another set to match - but think that would be pushing my luck!!!!
Hope you are having a great day.
Off to have a play now.

Stampin for the Weekend & a few Christmas cards

Good afternoon. I found these gorgeous papers whilst blog hopping at the weekend. They are free to download from
This is my entry for the sketch challenge at Stampin for the Weekend

The image is from Creative Expressions - stamped in Faded Jeans distress ink and generously sprinkled with glamour dust. Ribbon and gems are from stash. I have used a rub on sentiment.

There were lots of papers in the Winter Wonderland pack and some sentiments - so I thought I would make a few quick Christmas cards for my own card box

Hope you are having a good day.

Thanks for popping by.

PTW Sketch Challenge

Good afternoon.
I loved the sketch at Papertake Weekly this week - simple but effective.
Here is my take on it:

The stamp was a freebie from a magazine this time time last year - I love the simplicity of it. I have used Adirondack Ink in lettuce and then inked around the edge of the cardstock to add definition and finished with a few sparkly gemstones. The DP's are Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses - gorgeous colours.

Hope you are having a great weekend.

Thanks for popping over.

A Challenge or Two

Good morning. Sorry for the lack of posts this week & last week, I've been really busy preparing for a few Christmas markets.

Anyhow, I did get some time yesterday to just have a 'play'.

My first card is for Cupcake Craft. They would like to see a DIGI IMAGE on your project this week and they are being sponsored by Sketching Stamper. I had a request for a 90th birthday card and thought this image from Sketching Stamper would be perfect.
The card is quite large - 10" x 7" so I printed the image just under A6 size. I had no wide ribbon in a burgundy colour so I used the same Copic colour that I used for the flowers to colour some white ribbon - turned out quite well I think!
The sentiment is a digi download - I'm so sorry I can't remember where I found it.

My second card is for Friday Sketchers - a sketch challenge and A Spoonful of Sugar wanted to see Baby's First Christmas.

I have used another Digi image here from Cuddly Buddly coloured with PM's. The DP's are DCVW & Papermania. I had no green coloured flowers so again I coloured some white ones with the same green PM as the image.

My last project is for Sketch Saturday. This time I decided to make a note book.

This image is a freebie from a craft magazine - and so are the butterflies too.

Hope you are having a good day.

Thanks for popping by.

Allsorts New Challenge

WOW WOW WOW - you all certainly love your BLING out there in blog land!!!! We had our best ever number of entries last week - 177 in total - thank you all so much for the support.

Don't forget to pop over to Allsorts to see who the lucky winner of the voucher from
Digi Stamp Boutique is and also who Jules has picked as the TOP5.
So, onto this week's theme has been picked by Emma and is 'Something for a Child'
I decided to have a go at creating a door hanger to ensure that Santa doesn't forget to stop by on Christmas Eve.

I started with a piece of A4 card and cut it length ways down the centre to end up with a piece that measures 10.5cm x 29.7cm. I then rounded the corners and using a plain nestie circle I cut out an aperture towards the centre top. I then used the same size plain circle nested inside a larger scalloped circle to create a scalloped frame to put around the aperture.

The image was a freebie from Pollycraft - thanks Paula, coloured with Promarkers. The DP are also a digi download from Summer Driggs Winter Gifts. The sentiment was created on the PC.

As Pollycraft have a challenge to create anything but a card this week I am also entering this project into their challenge.

Hope the weather is not too bad where you are - we had really bad storm in the night here - and today is horrible outside - all the more reason to stay safe and warm in my craft room lol!!!

Thanks for popping by.

Have a great weekend.

A Blue Christmas & An Easel Card

Good evening. My first card for today is for Colour Create were the colours this week are
and it also fits the theme at By the Cute & Girly - Winter Wonderland.
I started by cutting an aperture out of the centre of a white square basecard - using a plain circle nestie. I also created a scalloped frame using a large plain circle 'nested' inside a larger scalloped circle from glitter card.
I then inked the front of the basecard with Tim Holtz distress ink in Faded Jeans and randomly stamped the text star over the top.
Using the circle that was cut out of the front of the card, I inked it with Faded Jeans distress ink and stamped the three Christmas tree images along the bottom and the star image top right - again with Faded Jeans distress ink. I added a generous sprinkling of Glamour Dust to the trees and an adhesive gem stone to the centre of the star. This was then mounted onto a white scalloped circle and attached to the inside of the basecard - in line with the aperture.
I finished the card with a white and silver ribbon and bow.
My next card is for Totally Gorjuss challenge - this week the theme is 'bling' and for SCSC
where they want to see an easel card. I love these shaped cards and they really are quite easy to do.

I have coloured this gorjuss girl with Promarkers and paper pieced her dress.

Hope you have had a good day.

Thanks for popping over.

Allsorts - Bring out your Bling

Good morning, it's Saturday again and that can only mean 1 thing - time for another fabulous challenge at Allsorts. But first thank you to all that joined in the fun last week with Amanda's wedding theme - there were some fantastic entries and I'm sure Amanda will find to difficult to pick just 5 for the Top5 award.

So now on to this week's theme that has been chosen by the lovely Jules. Jules would love to see some bling on your projects.

The DT have been really spoilt this week - we got to choose any Digi stamp from our gorgeous sponsor Digistamp Boutique - wow were we spoilt for choice!!! Thank you so much Sally-Ann. I loved this little cutie - Milly with Presents - isn't she gorgeous!!!
I have coloured her with Copics and added a generous sprinkling of Glamour Dust. The DP's are Papermania with ribbon & gems from my stash.

The winner of this week's challenge will also be spoilt for choice as they too get to choose a Digi Stamp - and there are some gorgeous new releases this month.
Can't wait to see what wonderful projects you all come up with.
Thanks for popping by.
Have a great weekend.
