Allsorts challenge #25

I can hardly believe that we are on week 25 at Allsorts - that's 6 months!!! Where has that time gone????!!!!
We had a fantastic response to my challenge theme last week - over 100 entries and they were all wonderful - thank you so much.
This week Amanda has chosen 'weddings' as the theme. This could be anything from a card for wedding day or wedding anniversary to a scrapbook page, a wordbook, favours, anything at all so plenty to choose from.
I had a wedding card to make so here is my DT project:

The photo doesn't really do it justice as it's hard to see the base card has been embossed with the Sizzix hearts embossing plate. The silver heart was cut using the Slice and then stamped with one of my favourite sentiment stamps in silver and embossed in silver too.

Pop over to the Allsorts blog to see the other DT members inspirational work and they would really appreciate a visit to their blogs too.

Have a great weekend.

Thanks for popping by.

Another Couple of Challenge Cards

Good evening. Just thought I would post another couple of challenge cards I have managed to complete today. The first is for Papertake Weekly Spots & Stripes & Cooking it up with Katie a Christmas theme, add some sparkle and finish with a border.

The DP are Papermania, the image is from Pollycraft, coloured with Copics, sparkle from adhesive gems and Stickles, charm & ribbon from stash.

My next card is for Mojo Monday and it also fits Papertake Weekly (not sure if you can enter twice lol!!!)

The DP and image are from Pink Petticoat, coloured with Copics, sentiment is computer generated.

Have a great evening.

Very Last Halloween & Autumn Leaves

Good afternoon. I've had a couple of non-crafting days this week - not had much inspiration to do much, but I did 'feel the need' to have a go at a project I saw being demonstrated on C&C a little while ago.
This is my take on the project and is my entry for the Autumn theme challenge at The Crafty Pad this week and My Time to Craft where the theme is 'rip & tear'
My second card is my last Halloween card for this year (I think lol!!!!) and is for the C.R.A.F.T challenge this week:

The papers and image were a freebie from Creative Cottage - how generous is that? They are wonderful designs and plenty to choose from too.

Well, that's all for now.

Thanks for popping by.

Take care.

Sketch & Stash Challenge

Good afternoon.
This is my entry for the sketch challenge this week at Sketch & Stash. I have used my new digi stamp from Pollycraft - it was released recently as a limited edition digi stamp. I have coloured her with Copics, with a touch of Sakura clear star on the bauble and a sprinkling of Cosmic Shimmer litter jewels. I have then layered her onto the shaped cardstock panels with 3D foam pads. The DP is Doodlebug Designs & the cardstock is ATD.
Thanks for popping by.
Have a great evening.

Cupcake Craft Challenge

Hi again, this is my second project of the day & it is my entry for the sketch challenge over at Cupcake Craft this week.
I have used another lovely Pollycraft Cherry Kisses image - this one is Snowball (I wonder why lol!!!!)
I have coloured her again with Promarkers & added a sprinkling of glamour dust. The DP are a download from Polka Doodle - 'Crimbly Doodles'. The snowflakes have been cut from Bazzill cardstock using the Slice Fa La La design card and layered with a snowflake brad & sparkly adhesive gem.

Hope you have had a good day.
Thanks for popping by.

Male 18th Birthday card

Good afternoon.
This my entry for A Spoon Full of Sugar sketch challenge this week. I thought it was a perfectly 'simple' sketch that would suit a male card.
The image is from Sandra Dry coloured with Promarkers, cut out and 3D with foam pads. The DP are by Dovecraft - men's set. The sentiment is computer generated.

Thanks for popping by.

A Special Couple!!!

Good afternoon.

I have had a request to make a 'wedding card' for a couple that are getting married on Halloween!!! As they are not the 'conventional' 'Hearts & Flowers' type of couple - which is why they chose Halloween as their wedding day I guess I decided to create a 'fun' project that fits in with a number of Halloween Challenges that are out in blog land at present.

The images are from Pink Cat Studio coloured with Promarkers and the DP are from Creative Cottage. The sentiment is computer generated.

I hope they like it!!!

Here are the challenges that I am entering this card into:

PTW Sketch Challenge

Good evening.

They have a great sketch to follow over at Papertake Weekly this week.
I decided to use it to create a commissioned card for a 13 year old girl using some free stamps, coloured with Copics & a generous sprinkle of Glamour Dust on the wings. The DP are from Pink Petticoat , the sentiment is a MM rub-on and the ribbon, button & gems are from my stash.
Thanks for popping by.
Have a lovely evening.
Good morning this week it is my turn to set the theme for the challenge at Allsorts and I would love to see your favourite 'Furry Friend' on your projects.
We are very excited to announce that our sponsor this week is:

Details of the prize will be with us shortly please pop back :)

The DT have been very lucky to be able to choose 1 of 4 really cute images to work with.
Here's the one I decided to use:

Isn't that one of the cutest teddies ever? The DP are BG - Eskimo Kisses. The image has been coloured with Promarkers. The ribbon is from my stash.

Don't forget to pop over to the Allsorts blog to check who the lucky winner of the stamp from Bunny Zoe's was - could it be you???

Hope you can join us this week.

Thanks for popping by.

Pollycraft & ICS Challenge

Hello again - second post and project of the day - doing well lol!!!
This one is for the colour theme over at Pollycraft Challenge - quite unusual colours of Tangerine, Turquoise & Chocolate but I actually quite like it!!!

As you probably know by now, I love this image from Pollycraft - it's Cherry with Lights. I have also followed the sketch at ICS (just a little artistic licence by putting the sentiment to the other side - hope this is ok!)
The DP are MME and some lovely handmade glitter paper - perfect colours I thought - what do you think? The image has been coloured with Copics & Promarkers. The bauble was cut from the Slice Fa La La design card. The snowflakes were punched from the glitter paper - but I used the reverse side. The gems are from my stash.

Hope you are having a great day.

Simon Says - Get Well Soon

Good morning.
I had an order yesterday for a few cards and one of them was for a Get Well Soon (for a male) - perfect I thought as it would fit nicely with the theme over at Simon Says Stamp. Earlier this month the DT at Allsorts were very lucky to receive the Big Fella download from Liz at Pink Petticoat (thanks Liz) - and this range has a fab 'Get Whale Soon' image - here's what I have put together:

Well that's all for now.

Hope to be back later.

C.R.A.F.T & Crafty Pad Challenge Card

There is a lovely sketch designed by Maxine to follow over at the Crafty Pad this week - with added element of a gatefold card - I haven't made one of those for ages!!!
The theme at C.R.A.F.T challenge blog is 'anniversary' - which is great as I had one of these to make for my brother-in-law's 1st wedding anniversary.
So here is what I have come up with:

Thanks for popping over.

Have a good evening.

My First Penny Black Challenge

Good evening. Just a quick post as tea is nearly ready to be dished up.
This is my first entry for the Penny Black Challenge. They have quite an unusual sketch this week - I found it a little challenging to be honest & after 2 false starts I finally came up with this.

I love this stamp - I had almost forgotten I had it until recently found it for another project.
I coloured a piece of white cardstock with Tim Holtz distress inks in Fired Brick, Rambling Rose & Black Soot then stamped the image with Black Soot & embossed with clear embossing powder.
The paper is DCVW and good old plain black cardstock.
Thanks for popping over.
Have a good evening.

At last a card or two!!

It almost feels like having a new born baby in our house at the minute with our new ickle kitten!!! She knows when I have left the room and then follows me miaowing until I give in and pick her up lol!!! Hence, not a lot of crafting happening - she must have been really tired today so I made the most of it and got on with some projects!!
The first is for C.R.A.F.T challenge - they have a recipe to follow this week of:
1 Ribbon
2 Buttons
3 Papers
Here is my take on it:

Now you might think I have only used 2 papers here - but I made my own 3rd paper by colourising some white paper/cardstock with Tim Holtz distress inks - I hope this counts!

My next card is for Forever Friends - they have a simple theme of Christmas this week.

Thought I would try a different colour combo for this one:

I quite like how these colours go together - what do you think?

Last project for today (so far) is for Winter Wonderland - their theme is Christmas Stocking.

I thought I would have a go at using a template I bought from Papertrey Ink for a Stocking Stuffer - I have put some scrummy choccy snowballs in mine:

Well that's all for now.

Thanks for popping by.

What a cutie!!!!

Good afternoon. No card to show yet but just had to let you see what we got today:
Introducing PICKLE:

How gorgeous is she (and Jack looks quite handsome too lol!!!!)

I can already feel a scrapbook coming on lol!!!

Allsorts Monochrome Challenge

Where did last week disappear to??!!!
I can't believe that it's Saturday already - the week has flown by!!
We had some fab Halloween projects at Allsorts last week - don't forget to check back to see who won the super Pink Gem prize stamp.
This week Brenda chose 'monochrome' as the theme with a sketch to follow as well. Now, if like me you thought monochrome was just Black & White then you might be pleased to hear that according to the ancient Greeks it means a picture done in different shades or a range of tones of a single colour - this makes it a bit more interesting - don't you think?
Anyways, with that in mind here is what I have come up with:

I started by colouring a piece of white card with tim Holtz distress inks - Fired Brick and Mahogany. Then I stamped the swirl and baubles with perfect medium and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Lava Black embossing powder - what you can't see are the red tones to the embossing powder - it's fab!!! I can't remember were the DP's are from - sorry!!! The sentiment is a Fancy Pants rub on and the stars and ribbon are from my stash.

Ooops - nearly forgot to let you know that we have a fab sponsor this week -

Bunny Zoe's and Nikki is offering one lucky winner this fab stamp as a prize

How cute is that????

Hope you have a great weekend.

Thanks for popping over.

A Productive Day

Hiya - another post!!!
I have had quite a productive day today.
I have managed to complete another 3 projects for the following challenges:
1. Forever Friends - Autumn Colours (must use a FF image)

Here I have used DCVW papers - I punched the leaf/branch and arranged in a circle around a scalloped nestie that had been layered on top of another scalloped nestie that I have distressed with Tim Holtz 'Brushed Corduroy' ink. I stamped the FF image with Aidirondack ink in 'Hazlenut' and then dragged the colour in.

2. M.A.W.T.T - A sketch challenge

For this project I used a free digi image from here (thanks to my blogger buddy Brenda for the link). I coloured it with Promarkers & Copics and added a touch of Glamour Dust to finish it off. I love these new DP from Basic Grey - Eskimo Kisses - they are gorgeous!!! Ric Rac & snowflake brads are from my stash.

3. Sketch Saturday - Another sketch challenge

Here I have used a fab image from Digistamp Boutique - Milly with Presents, coloured again with Promarkers & Copics and a touch of Glamour Dust. The DP are some more of thise gorgeous Eskimo Kisses by Basic Grey - told you they were scrummy lol!!!! Snowflake brads are from my stash.

Well, that's all for now!

Thanks again for popping over.
