Allsorts Challenge 16

Good morning - just a quick post for now - still trying to catch up on everything since getting back from hols on Monday morning!!! Please forgive me for not being a very good blogger -
I hope to be back into proper blog mode this weekend!!!!
This is the challenge this week over at Allsorts
"This week it's my (Amanda) turn to set the theme and I am basically banning rubber this week!! Yup no stamped images or sentiments this week girls. (eeek) I will allow anything digital ~ so digital images, digital stamps, computer generated sentiments. If you're not a fan of digital images though remember there are hundreds of techniques out there that aren't stamping........parchment, iris folding, tea bagging, stitching, painting, decoupage........and thats just what I can come up with this morning!! So get those forgotten techniques out and dust them off and, of course, enjoy yourselves!! Check out the fabulous DT samples, there is a wealth of inspiration for you there! This week as a prize I am offering this Stamping Up "polka dots" large background stamp. It's rattling around in the box so I will make sure to pad it out a bit with a few ribbons etc."
I can't believe how much I struggled with this and only just got my project completed this morning!!! Maybe it's because I have done any crafting for nearly three weeks - hope I haven't lost my mojo totally!!!!!!
Anyhow, here is my DT project:

Hope to back later.

Allsorts Challenge 15

Good morning everyone - hope Mr Blogger schedule posts has posted this for you to read whilst I'm still lying by a poolside in Eygpt (back on Monday - hasn't it gone quick!!!!)

Not that I have seen any entries, but I'm positive they were all fantastic as always - thank you so much for supporting Allsorts. Don't forget to check out the blog to see who Brenda chose as her Top5.

This week Jules set the challenge 'Dare to Tear' with a sketch. I have not been too brave with this as I only dared to tear the vellum strip with the sentiment on!!!!!

I'm really into this colour combo at the moment - hope you like it too.

Well that's all for now - the pool is calling me to dive in.

Back to speak in operson on Monday - have a great weekend everyone.

Allsorts Challenge 13

Thanks to everyone that supported our Recipe Theme last week. Don't forget to check out the Allsorts blog to see who won the fab MME papers and who Lisa chose as her Top5.

This week it's Gro's turn to set the theme and it is 'Vintage'. Not a genre I usually feel comfortable with but I do like a challenge!!! This is what I have come up with:

I have used Ranger Distress Inks to create the backgound before stamping the 'collage' effect images, then I stamped the sentiment & pocket watch image with Archival Black ink and embossed with clear embossing powder. To finish the 'vintage' look I distressed the edges and then inked them with Black Soot distress ink.

The other DT ladies have created some wonderful projects this week - do pop over and take a look.

Any how my suitcase is screaming at me to pack it so I must get going and get on with it.

Hopefully Mr Blogger scheduled post will update you with next week's challenge for Allsorts and the week after that too!!!!

Thanks for popping by.

Have a great weekend.
