Allsorts Challenge #3

I can't believe we are already into week 3 of the new Allsorts challenge blog!!
But they do say that time flies when your are enjoying yourself!!!
This week Kirsten chose 'Curly Swirly' as the theme.
Once again there are some fantastic samples created by the DT - why not pop over and take a look.
This is my DT sample:
I stamped the opposite corners of a white base card with a swirly stamp from Personal Impressions using Brilliance Archival Pigment ink in Peacock. The dragonfly was a naked chipboard that I inked up and triple embossed with UTEE and Pearlescent lustre embossing powders and then stamped the swirly stamp into it.
Hope you like it.
Looking forward to seeing your creations this week.
Thanks for popping by.

C.R.A.F.T Challenge #2

Sorry there are so many photos but I wanted you to see all the angles of the card to get a feel for the movement within it!
This is my entry for this week's C.R.A.F.T challenge. Guess what the theme is????? Yep you got it - it's 'movement' ahhhhhhhh so now you know why all the photos lol!!!!
Why not hop over to their blog and take a look at some of the fab DT projects this week.

A Gift for my Friend

My first attempt at stamping onto candles - I really enjoyed doing this. I then thought I would give them to my friend as a gift for her birthday, so I made a gift box and matching decoupaged card. I love the vibrant colours of this set by Kate Knight. Might have to have another go at doing this lol!!!
Have a great day.

Just messing around

Thought I would have a go at using some Cosmic Shimmer mica powders to colour in - pity the photograph doesn't show the fantastic shimmer effect.
On 1 card I stamped the image and then clear embossed before colouring it in and on the other I used the same ink to stamp the image but I didn't emboss it - it's amazing how different that makes the finished result.
Might have to have another play with these later.
Thanks for popping by.

Creative Card Crew - Challenge 12

Card inside

The theme this week over at CCC is 'pretty flowers'. This is my take on the theme. The papers are Papermania -'scrumptious' - I love these papers. The flowers are a range of silk, buttons, gems and some I have cut from the papers using the 'Slice' die cut machine and then I have clear embossed them to add some shine.

Friday Sketchers Challenge Card

This is my entry for the Friday Sketchers sketch challenge this week.
I have used a cute 'forever friends'image coloured with Copics . The papers are K& Co the flowers, brads & butterfly are from my stash.
Hope you like it.

Sketch Saturday & Secret Crafter

As I had an order for a wedding card, I thought I would combine the sketch challenge over at Sketch Saturday with the 'new beginnings' challenge over at Secret Crafter this week and I have come up with this:

I have used the gorgeous Papermania 'scrumptious' papers and acetate. The image has been stamped and embossed with gold embossing powder. The heart shapes have been cut from papers from DCVW using the 'Slice'

Well firstly I would like to say a great big thank you to all you lovely bloggers that took the time to enter the first Allsorts challenge and well done to Jules for scooping the first week's fabulous prize from Sir Stampalot!!!
Now on to this week's challenge and the theme is....................anything but a stamped image!!!
Here is my DT sample - a card with a detachable bookmark - hope you like it.

First Card for today

Good morning everyone and welcome to the weekend - a long weekend for some, which is great if you can make time for some 'extra' crafting lol!!!
This is my first card for the day - an entry for the Cupcake Challenge this week.
As you can see, I still have the 'Gorjuss' bug!!!
I have also used some new papers that I got from 'Papermania' called 'Scrumptious' and they truly are scrumptious both in design and quality.
I have stamped the image with black 'Stazon' and coloured with 'Copic Ciao' pens.

A Lovely Blog Award

The very talented Brenda from Floral Fantasies has given me this lovely blog award - thank you Brenda I really appreciate it. Now I need to carefully consider who to pass it on to - not an easy task as there are so many deserving bloggers out there - will have to have a think about it and post later. If you get the chance pop over to Brenda's and have a look at her superb work. TTFN

I Love these papers!!

I have had these papers for a little while and find it hard to use them as they are sooooooooooo gorgeous. Today however, I thought it was time to create something with them so I decided I would follow the sketch at Mojo Monday and combine the monogram/letters theme at TPE
Thanks for popping by.

3 in 1 Challenge Card

How many challenges can you get out of 1 card lol!!!!
When I set out to make this one I didn't intend it to be for more than 1 challenge but by the time I finished it I found that it fitted the following challenges for this week:
1. C.R.A.F.T - something 'new' - obvious how it fits that one lol!!!
2. ABC Challenge - 'O' for orderly -"We would like your card to be balanced. This means that if you use a flower on your card it needs to be balanced by another one somewhere else on the card." - so it fits that one (I think!!!)
3. Lily of the Valley - sketch:

and I think my layout fits that too!!!

So, there we have it 3 challenge cards in 1!!!!

Wonder how many I can create today lol!!!

Copic Colour Challenge #14

Hello again
Well I certainly seem to have got addicted to these 'Gorjuss girls' stamps. This is my card for this week's Copic Colour Challenge I didn't have an exact match to the colours indicated to use, so I did as suggested and used the nearest colour match I had.
Hope you like it.

Creative Card Crew - challenge #11

The challenge over at CCC this week is 'shape it'. I thought this 'handbag' shaped card fitted the theme perfectly. Wouldn't you just love a real handbag like this lol!!!! Well, that's the first card of the day completed - off to do some more. Have a great day everyone. TTFN
