A 20's Style 40th

Good morning my lovely crafty friends.
Hope you had fabulous weekend.
I'm pleased to report that there have been no more 'broken things' to sort out since my last post and all the repairs and replacements have now been done - sorted!!!

Today I have a recently commissioned card to share with you - it's for my sister's friend who is having a 20's style birthday party in Black & Gold for her 40th and the request was for 'nothing too fancy'

Here's what I came up with - it's a larger than my usual square card at 7"x7" - and I'm quite liking this size :o)

Card ingredients:
Colouring Medium: Copics
Design Papers: Papermania 'Capsule Black'
Gold Pearl Card
Martha Stewart 'Vintage Lace' border punch
Tim Holtz Sizzix 'Word Play'
Small flower punch
Pearl Corners from Creative Expressions

Challenges I would like to enter:

613Avenue Create - Anything Goes - Twist 'Birthday/Anniversary
Glitter n Sparkle - Tic Tac Toe - Middle Line across
A Gem of a Challenge - Female Birthday
Polkadoodles - Anything Goes
As You Like It - Anything Goes

Thanks for calling by today - it;s always good to see you.
Have a fabulous day.
I'm off to complete another order - 100 60th Birthday Invites - 70 done and 30 to go!!!!

See you soon.

Sorry I've been such a slacker about popping by but I seem to be very disorganized lately.

This is just lovely Debs 0 fab in the black and gold colourway. I'm really loving making larger cards at the moment - 8x8 cards - all the more space to fill! hugs Judith x

Ooh Debs, I think you've nailed the brief perfectly! I've been wanting to try 7x7 cards, it seems such a massive jump from 6x6 to 8x8, I need something inbetween! xx

Hi Debs…. so glad to hear that there are no more broken things! it's awful when several things break down at same time… strange how that often happens.
Wow! I really love this twenties themed card… it's awesome! Gorgeous papers and colours and I love the oval with the hearts and the way you've done the ribbon is so pretty with the wee flower! :-)
Hope you're having a good week
Big hugs, Sue B xx
