Dog & Doggie for Dies to Die For

Good morning my lovely crafty friends.

Hope you are well and enjoying the glorious weather we are having in the UK - I know for some it is a struggle with the heat but for me personally I love it :o)

Today I would like to share with you my DT make for

DIES TO DIE FOR

I made this card only yesterday morning with the purchases I made at DtDF the day before in Telford - so I broke my record for using new stash the fastest.

There is a 'meaning' behind the choice of images on this card - when Jack was very small he and John would play a game where Jack would say Dog and John would reply Doggie - they would do this repeatedly and for some strange reason they thought it was so funny - the best bit for me was hearing them laugh so much together - so when I saw this set of stamps I just knew I had to have them!!!

John also used to play both the drums and the guitar (not both at the same time lol!!!)

Card Ingredients:

Mama Elephant Rock and Paws Die Set
Colouring Medium: Copics
Design Paper: Best Creations Rock Star
Sentiment Stamps - Free with this month's Making Cards

Thanks for popping by and for all your continued support.
Have a fabulous day.

Birthday Cupcake Greetings for Dies to Die For

Good morning my lovely crafty friends.
I'm back again with my usual Monday Morning Inspiration for

And this week I have gone all girlie girlie with a super sweet image from
I decided to do  bit of paper-piecing - something I've not done in ages.
The rest of the image was coloured with Copics - and I had another go at leaving a little teeny bit of white in the hair - quite pleased with the end result - but still a long way to go.

This card was for my snuggalicious Granddaughter Ruby Mae's 4th birthday yesterday

Here's the links to the other items used:

Image & Sentiment: 'Jessica with Cupcakes'
Design Paper: Doodlebug 'Sugar Shoppe'

Discover Your Wings

Good morning my lovely crafty friends.

Today I'm here with my usual Monday Morning Inspiration for

And this week I have a little piece of
Home Decor to share with you - using some beautiful elegant stamps by Taylored Expressions

I started by painting an MDF heart using two gorgeous Chalk Paint colours by Viva Decor - Revive and Vintage - Just tore across a piece of paper and masked off one half then painted with one colour and then flipped the paper over and painted the other half with another colour.

When the paint was dry I added some Crackle Medium over the top and when that was dry I stamped the images and sentiment using Ranger Black Archival Ink.

I also stamped one of the large butterflies onto patterned paper and adhered along the body and added   that on top of a stamped butterfly on the MDF heart - lifting the wings for some dimension.

Here's a link to all of the gorgeous DtDF stash I used:

Hope you had a lovely weekend.
Here's to a fabulous crafty week.

Flutterby Butterflies for DtDF

Good morning my lovely crafty friends.

I'm here with a little Monday Morning Inspiration using probably my most favourite-ist  crafty theme of Flutterby Butterflies :) as my DT project for

For today's piece I went down the 'Arty' route and had a play with creating a colourful inky background for my gorgeous MFT B butterflies to flutter out of
I created the background using my Spectrum Noir Sparkle pens - I simply scribbled different colours onto a clear plastic bag - a cello card bag would be perfect - then I spritzed with some water and then pressed my white card onto the plastic bag to pick up the ink.

When it was dry I positioned the Butterfly Dies where |I wanted them and then die cut. Then I over-stamped the butterfly die cuts with the co-ordinating stamp - using Archival Black Ink.

I adhered the die cut inky background  onto a base card and then after shaping the butterfly wings I adhered them back into the die cut background - just putting the adhesive along the centre of the body so that the wings could be lifted and it looks like they are fluttering out of the background.

Finishing with one of the co-ordinating Sentiment Stamps.
