Love U!

Good morning. Whoopppp whoooppp so pleased that I am now feeling almost normal - not quite but really improving and able to get about a lot easier than earlier this week.
Still haven't been in my little crafty haven though :o(
I do have a few makes that I haven't shared with you yet so I thought I would share one of them today :o)

I 'treated' myself to some of these gorgeous Wryn and Friends images recently and I knew this one would be perfect to make a Valentine's card for Kerry to give to Aaron.

I die cut the heart using a Sizzix framelit and then ran it through the Grand Calibur with Creative Expressions Flower Mask and then inked with Aged Mahogany Distress Ink whilst mask still in place. I then ran it through the Grand Calibur again with Cuttlebug Script embossing folder and then inked again with Fired Brick Distress Ink.

Image coloured with Flexmarkers and Promarkers with a touch of Glamour Dust added to the heart wings.
Design Paper - Craftwork Cards
Adhesive Alphas - Fancy Pants

Good morning. What a week it has been - I won't bore you all with the details but I've been absent from blogland since last Saturday following an horrendous train journey up to Leeds on Friday to see my Dad (who is doing ok since his heart attack a couple of weeks ago) - when my back went into another massive spasm and I ended up not getting to see Dad and having to spend all this week laid up in bed :o(
Luckily things are improving and yesterday I even managed to get down the stairs and make a cup of tea :o)

Even luckier - I had already made my DT card for this week's challenge at

as I'm the host the week!
and the theme is:

HAVE A HEART

Our sponsor this week is

The DT had some images to play with.
I chose 'Forever Yours' as I thought the image was really saying "I Love You This Much" and would be perfect for a Valentine card for my scrummy yummy Grandson Oliver :o)

Have a Heart for Allsorts

Good morning. I hope this scheduled post finds you all fit and healthy and those not I wish you well soon.
I am currently in Leeds visiting my Dad who as some of you may know had a heart attack last weekend - the good news is that he is home and sounding a lot brighter than when I first spoke to him this week.

With all the events of this week the new challenge theme at
ALLSORTS
as picked by the lovely Helene
HAVE A HEART
seems very apt indeed!!

So here's what I did

I started by stamping the gorgeous sentiment onto a luggage tag and then added a few stamped swirls and a postage stamp image around the edges before I distressing it with Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink. I added some string and a grosgrain ribbon bow and a pearly heart.
This was then attached at a jaunty angle onto a piece of cardstock that I stamped with a script text stamp and inked the distressed edges.

I then added a scrummy pink felt heart with a smaller kraft heart attached with a staple and a rolled rose.
Can you see the gorgeous giant ric rac ribbon behind the tag - I love it!
A few adhesive gems to finish it off - and that's it done - not my usual style but I really quite like it - would love to know what you think?

Challenges I will link up to when I get back from Leeds later this evening:

DRS - Hearts
Inky Impressions - Heart You
Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes
Anything Goes - To The One I Love
Sweet Stamps - Love
Make It Monday - Anything Goes
Cupcake Craft - All You Need is Love

Thanks for popping by.
Hope you have a fab weekend.

It's Blooming Marvelous at Moving Along With The Times

Good morning. Today it's
BLOOMING MARVELOUS
at
MOVING ALONG WITH THE TIMES
because our lovely Lisa would like to see

FLOWERS
somewhere on your project this week.

We also have a 'blooming marvelous' new sponsor this week:
gif maker
and 1 lucky winner will receive

So here's what I did
I made another inky background this time using Bundled Sage and Spiced Marmalade Distress Inks and then overstamped this with Kanban Dandelion image using Archival Black ink and then shadow stamped in between to add some depth. (The last time I used this stamp I was asked where I got it - I got mine from Create & Craft but I'm not sure they still have it in stock)
This was then matt and layered onto co-ordinating pieces of cardstock.

The foiled spotty Design Paper is from a huge 200 sheet bundle of different 8"x8" gorgeous papers from Craftwork Cards that I got in their sale a few weeks ago for a bargain price of £7.50 :o)
The scalloped edge card base is also from Craftwork Cards.
Sentiment - Kanban Crafts
Ribbons from stash
Flutterbys - Martha Stewart - blinged up with Stickles and some adhesive pearls
Please pop over to the main challenge blog to see the gorgeous inspiration from the wonderful DT girls and we have some lovely new GDT joining us this week - it would be lovely if you could welcome them.
