Take Your Pick at Papertake Weekly

Good afternoon my lovely crafty friends.
Hope you've had a wonderful BH weekend.
I most certainly did - Saturday spent in Southsea at my scrummilicious Granddaughter Lola Arizona's Snow White birthday party - with a surprise visit from Snow White herself - will share a photo at the end of this post.
We took our squidgilicious Grandson Oliver as Mum and Dad had other plans - he was sooooooo good and really entertaining doing all the actions to the Superman Song :o)

Sunday was another busy day in the garden and painting the decking (between the showers!!!!)

Then yesterday we had a Princess Picnic in the park over at Bristol and that was a fabulous day - even if I did go over on my bad ankle (again!!!!) - that's the trouble with being too competitive playing a game of rounders!!!

So I think the rest of this week will be a little quieter and I really must get back in my little crafty haven and catch up with some crafty makes.

So today I have my DT make for the new challenge over at

PAPERTAKE WEEKLY

to share with you and as it's the last Tuesday of the month it's our fabulous theme of

TAKE YOUR PICK

Festive Food at Winter Wonderland

Good evening my lovely crafty friends.
Huge apologies for being so late with my DT make for the new challenge over at

But I have been super busy today.
It started with some Face Time this morning to sing Happy Birthday to my scrummilicious Granddaughter Lola Arizona who is 4 today.

Then I took Jack to school for his English Lit exam and popped to the supermarket on the way home before my hospital appointment to have my feet scanned.
The bad news there is they found I have torn the ligaments in my toe so my second toe is no longer attached to my third toe and that is what is causing the pain in my foot when I walk too far for too long :o(

They also told me my feet are very wide for their length - apparently my width is equivalent to a size 8 foot but I'm only a size 5!!!!

Unfortunately I can't really consider the surgery option at the moment as the recuperation is just too long - at least 6 - 8 weeks no driving and 3 - 6 months before you can wear most shoes comfortably - so with our holiday at the end of June and then the wedding in September I just don't think the timing is right.

So the advice is walk in open toed footwear (or bare feet) or walk less :o(
Anyway - it is what it is and I won't let it get me down.

But if course you haven't called by to listen to all that so without any further ado here's my make for the new challenge theme of

FESTIVE FOOD

Our sponsor this week is

Have a fabulous evening.

Satin Ribbon from stash
Stampin' Up Sentiment

Apologies if I haven't visited much recently - feel like I'm chasing my own tail a bit at the moment - just finished working on another two magazine commissions and made a start on some Crafty Makes for an upcoming Fayre in July - just a week after we get back from holiday so need to get everything made before we go. Then I really MUST get on with the Wedding Invites and other stationary!!!

Hope to have a little bloggy catch up later.

Have a fabulous day.

With a Heart at Papertake Weekly

Good afternoon my lovely crafty friends.

Hope you had a lovely weekend.

The Lord of the Dance was amazing - thoroughly enjoyed it!!!
But the best thing about my weekend was the biggest hug I got from my squidgilicious Grandson Oliver - I think he missed me as much as I missed him :o)

So today I have my DT make for the new challenge over at

PAPERTAKE WEEKLY

and this week the theme is

WITH A HEART

Here's what I did:

And here's how I did it:

I started by creating a heart shaped mask from a piece of paper and then inked through onto some white card with Spun Sugar Distress Ink.
Before removing the mask I also stamped the Penny Black Letter Background - 1999L.
I outlined the heart shape with a fineliner.
Then I embossed the card with Embossalicious Recency Swirls and added a little more Spun Sugar Distress Ink to the edges.
Pink pearl bead string added around the heart and finished with a satin bow and a few paper roses - all from The Ribbon Girls.

Please pop over to the main challenge blog to check out the gorgeous inspiration from my lovely DT buddies.
